It does seem like the number is not set in stone.

-On the rules, it says "on the first page". On my browser on both my computer and phone it's 20 posts per page. (I'm using a regular phone browser). I never recall changing any settings on my end.
-With the OP's accounting of his conversation with the mod, he said the mod said "first 40 posts".
-And now that mod just wrote "first 30 posts".

I get the feeling its subjective (and not personally aimed at any single members), and if the mods happen to see too many posts, they will delete a few.

If I have it right the OP was saying that he tried to adhere to the rules by not having more than four active threads on page one and what Cleiton is saying in answering the question that I posed is that he (AZB) considers the first 30 threads on the for sale forum to be the equivalent of the first page

AtLarge tried to explain to you that you need to set your post count display to 30 and see if that solves the problem. You respond, "I don't know what you're talking about...".

It has been in the past. You could set the pages lower, to ten, maybe even five. I did reset my posts per page for some reason which confused people when they asked me what page a post was on! When someone bet how many pages a thread would run I jumped on the over and quickly set my preferences to the lowest possible setting!(grin)

Since the OP isn't/wasn't a gold member, it's not clear that he had an option to set it.

The rule should be "most recent 30 posts/bumps" and not according to page which can vary in size. Or maybe 2 in 20.

I'm not picking sides nor am I in the "know" about the standing one way or the other of the OP within the For Sale section. Perhaps the OP could have raised the issue as a constructive question instead of calling it an "Abuse of Power" in the title of the thread.

But not a single member from Mgmt responded directly to the OP. Only comments about rules from the General Population.

30 per page?? Hardly! This one post takes up 60% of my screen or more. 30 really? and so does the one below it. Not to mention a long list of sticky posts at the top. I guess if you were to count the posts as you scroll endlessly it might be that many. It sure seems like a lot of wasted space now that I'm paying attention. I don't care really, but I never noticed how one post takes up 1/4 page and another takes up a single line.
Although,
I find it pretty hard to sell cues here anymore. Just a hard crowd that are mostly heavy on cues to start with. Like me. But it is a freebie! that is not lost on me and I want AZB to live on for may years to come. Everyone who can afford to should become a gold member. Give a little back and show some support.

Would the OP see more posts on the first page if he was a Gold Member? I don’t know why, but that is in the back of my head that one of the Gold Member perks is more per page.
