For me it was the pressure of wanting to run the 100 and not wanting to start over and the massive time investment of resetting to zero. Scale that up to the 800s and there's def some pressure there.
I get what garczar is saying though. I don't disagree. But an 800 ball run is a different kind of animal than a 100, 200, etc ball run.

Nothing negative here to such an incredible achievement, but just curious how many in-person witnesses there may have been to this run, start to finish?

Took me an entire day to recoup from my high run bcuz of the migraine it gave me towards the end. Things like people's dandruff falling sounded like rock crushers!!
I'm surprised more companies haven't approached him for sponsorship of high run attempts!! 'Predator Presents' and all that jazz.
Maybe J made it known he wasn't interested in turning it into a circus, just wanted to run balls. No pressure other than that you put on yourself.
Yes, there will be a fine-tooth comb review of the run before it is recorded as the world record. In contrast, when Schmidt broke Mosconi's record, it was mentioned in the NY Times the next day that the world record had fallen, well before the BCA had reviewed or confirmed the run.

wasn't much dead time. and he played some racks crazy fast. i think he averaged 3 mins/rack
