Hello everyone. I wanted to post the video I did recreating the masse shot from The Color of Money. I know a lot of people here love that movie so I wanted to share.
Have a great day!
Thanks Stu!Nicely done, Brian!
I like your shot a little bit more due to the cueball not having the potential to scratch.

Utterly amazing, and the measles really help you to appreciate how long the spin on the cue ball is sustained. I doubt even Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly could outdo those dances. In the same theme of 'Masse'!
From '5,6,7,8,9'10' cushion Masse in the corner!
I will get to that one eventually.I think the cross corner bank combination seen in the Hustler may be the most difficult to recreate. I've attempted it and at best i succeeded once out of thirty attempts.
haha. I am decent at regular pool. It might be a good match. If we ever enter into the same tournament, I'm quitting early.
Very nice.
I think I'll just keep my money IN my wallet...haha. I am decent at regular pool. It might be a good match.![]()
Looked like somebody was under the table as insurance.I like your shot a little bit more due to the cueball not having the potential to scratch.
But for a movie audience the fear of scratching and hanging on the lip was pretty spectacular.

That is the passing lane shot. It is not different weighted balls.Question:
There's that similar shot where the cue ball overtakes the ball on the way to the pocket. Is that with different weight balls? It's the simplest looking shot I've never been able to do.![]()
Ok. Back to the drawing board. That is the passing lane shot. It is not different weighted balls.
