Too much blackball maybe.Apparently Jayson Shaw shot the wrong ball during his match today. He was confused by the color. As we all are...
Honestly, can't really blame him for shooting at the wrong ball. I probably would've done the same.Play enough pool where the margins are razor thin… for real $$$. Nobody expects you to understand.

Nobody expects you to understand.Lol I like them but I’m not like the closed minded people that seem to be on this forum that freak out. Serious someone said they couldn’t figure out the lay out? I’m of average intelligence and with a rack I would see the color of the balls with corresponding number. It’s not that hard lol people acting like it’s the end of the world.
They are spending money as a sponsor . Of course they are going to use a set that sticks out.
They aren’t using that cue ball with the logo on it for play.
I agree. Of course, players don't search for the numbers on the balls when playing pool. Today the commentators are adding color names with the balls to familiarize the public with their number. I wonder if they'll say "sky blue 2" or "light blue 2" instead of "blue 2."... after playing pool since the late 60's (old fart) I scan the table and don't usually look at the numbers, especially in 8 ball, and that solid nine would surely get me.
That is interesting. Makes sense. In English Pool Ultimate Pool were using Strachan cloth with Aramith balls, but they've moved to the CPBA/Dynasphere combo too. Not sure if there is any connection between CPBA and Dynasphere or if they just both happen to be making aggressive business moves at the same time. Think there are rumours ex-Aramith employees were involved in setting up Dynasphere (read they were designed in Belgium and manufactured in China), whilst CPBA are Chinese.
Yes, see the pic above that Jayson Shaw posted on FB. The 7 ball used to be the exact same baby blue color that the 2 is now.How are players missing seeing the 2? It's the brightest ball on the table. Or are they confusing it with another ball?
Barry Hearn just made the same mistake, shot the 3 in with the 2 on the table. He then turned to the crowd and said “who’s decision was this to change the balls?!?”. A lot of players have now done it in the past 2 days. They should just go all-in and make the 8 ball yellow.
I know the correct answer at this level of pool is, "It is the player's job to know," but I swear with these new balls if I saw my opponent lining up at the wrong ball I would want to say something before they shoot. I would have to overcome the urge to be a good sportsman, or whatever.Barry Hearn just made the same mistake, shot the 3 in with the 2 on the table.
