....and place the chalk face down on the rail?I know one thing, from now on if I was one of these players playing Appleton in the future, I would make sure I use Masters chalk and chalk my tip a little more than needed.

okay but lets see the skids?
It's frustrating to no longer be the dominant player you once were.
These tournaments see balls and tables- new ones- cleaned after each match. The cumulative effect of chalk buildup isn't there.
Such a childish thing to do. Just admit that your game wasn't up to scratch that day.Apparently Appleton thinks the masters chalk his opponent was using caused him some misses.. lol then he was accused of throwing his cues. Valid complaint? Or just mad mickey came back and won
Quite frankly, 4Q chalk snob. Regulated? That’s the most ridiculous assertion I’ve ever heard. Excuses are the camp of the weak minded and skill limited.I honestly think chalks should be regulated in the near future, because if someone rocks up to a big tournament using predator 1080, they're gonna be spraying blue dust all over the table and the balls and causing skids and weird rolls which are just unacceptable at this level of play.
If the tournament is going to dictate the type/brand of chalk to use, they should provide it.
I'd be on board with that, although I'm sure some chalk sponsors would squeal. All you have to do is watch Dr. Dave's video. Masters was the only one that left a discernable clumps of chalk on the cue ball. It should be relegated to bar rooms with holes in the cloth, developing countries, and gambling with drunks.
Not for me. Jumps are exciting. Yesterday Jayson nailed the timekeeper with the cue ball. It was great. And jump sticks should be banned and shot clocks should be on every table.

No robotic players, gotta play fast and loose.I think someone should produce a “Get Off My Lawn Open” for the AZ curmudgeons:
No jump cues
Old Gold Crown Tables
Only Master chalk
No Carbon Fibre
Green cloth
Centennial Balls with the traditional colours - Purple 4b
Hand rack for your opponent
One on the spot
What else am I missing?

If the chalk was V10, it wouldn’t matter but other chalks, even Masters, you’ll have to repeatedly clean the rails during play.....and place the chalk face down on the rail?
