Please don't rely on professional pool players for your science.
Or for pretty much anything other than how to draw your rock. That's not to say that they're unintelligent, only that when you've spent most of your life focusing on one little thing (like pool), you probably haven't had the time to study other subjects in the depth required to know what you're talking about.

I think it is even simpler than that, type A and type B people. How many serious pool players do you know that are good at taking orders or working on a team? I worked OK on a team because I cut out my own task or tasks. I was fine with somebody over me giving a task, not so good if they tried to micromanage the task.

I can't think of a single dedicated pool player that I would call a type B personality. Same with circle track racers, and competition shooters. They are fine with them against the field, not so good on a team. We did well with the Mosconi Cup because we were much better players early on. When european skill caught up a little bit then their much better ability to function as a team got us in trouble and keeps us in trouble. Hard to battle somebody for every dollar for years and then be pardners. The US guys and gals can't do it. We are citizens, not subjects. As my friend in Scotland used to tell me all the time, that is a big difference!

I've got a nephew that used to rent from me. We used to sit around and talk all the time. This guy's really smart. You wouldn't believe all the conspiracies he believes whether it's Kennedy or landing on the moon whatever.

That's not my point though. These people who think like that have this incredible compulsion like they're Jehovah's witnesses or something where they absolutely have to try and convince you to believe like them. They go on and on and won't stop. Even after you tell him you really could care less.

most of those theories come from wacky media sites that post those things to sell themselves.

the easily persuaded fall for it all the time.

That's called counter intelligence; debunk ops. What you have in that chart is a lot of prebunked bunk.
It's like nobody does anything if they gotta hold hands. Hold hands, go to prison...

used a.i to interpret the above post of our beloved poster straightline:

"it sounds like you are looking at a specific document, breakdown, or conspiracy analysis and seeing a lot of coordinated narrative control or "reputation management" instead of the actual truth. The phrase "hold hands, go to prison" captures that exact reality of criminal conspiracy or high-stakes operations: when people coordinate closely, they share the legal liability, meaning they either protect each other or all go down together."

that clarifies it. :)

AI is intelligence without morals, or true intelligence for that matter. It is derived from information fed to it. Garbage in will always create garbage out because it has no reasoning ability. It seems to reason sometimes due to the information it is factoring in that we aren't seeing.

AI is going to have to do major damage before the dangers are widely recognized. Gonna be scary!

Gotta agree. I think the immediate threat is humans.

“The moon creates its own light is more likely.”
Huh? So, what, the moon has a shade that once a month deploys so it slowly goes from full on, to half exposed, to quarter exposed, to a sliver, to completely dark?

Sheesh!
I think the man in he moon must have bought a small, green lamp from Walmart. Who knew?
