I am not saying one way will work and the other will. If you read my first sentence I stated that I do not agree or disagree. Nor did I say any of the players I listed "weren't really that good." :slap: Just trying to find out if such different techniques can perform the same type of stroke shots.
I am not saying if fundamentals are or are not important, but can someone with not so "good" fundamentals perform the same shots as someone with "great" fundamentals?
For example can Alan Hopkins perform the same shot as Corey did in the US OPEN a few years back where he drew the cue ball back...
What I can't stand is when people that play both poker and pool equally bad are willing to play anyone in the world in poker and is willing to lose 2K in a hand, but they won't bet $10 in a set of pool.
You are so on the money SUPERSTAR.
I have had people ask me how well I break. I say I made 7 balls on the break once in 9 ball. Does this mean I have the best break in the world? NO, that's because I usually have a hard time hitting the 1 ball at all.
Someone asked for Borana's speed and they...
Sorry if I took your post the wrong way but what you wrote in that post and on other posts in this thread just seems very condescending.
Again this thread is about her speed. You saying that her running a 4 pack in 10 ball is too strong and that you need a spot tells us nothing about her...
GMAC I don't know you but you a funny dude, but I am not trying to make Cleary go play Borana. I just want him to watch his mouth. If he is really trying to conduct a business than he should think twice before writing crap about players on a public forum. He has definitely lost my business and...
This thread was originally asking how Borana plays and jimM responded by stating what he thought and saw. So why is it that everyone needs to be so condescending with their responses saying that they need a spot and that they have no chance to play her even? Why do people need to call her out to...
You are right, Mark Griffin has done a lot for pool and we should all be grateful. It would be great for everyone to know who he is and what he has been doing for pool so that is why he was named "Man of the Year" in Billiard Digest. You are also right that he wouldn't look great in cleavage...
I completely agree that open tournaments should be played even but I think the entry fee should not be even in regional tours. There are some parts of the country that pool is not as big as some other areas so it is hard to get a decent turnout. If a new tour starts you usually get a huge field...
Currently Mika is the only one on this list that can play Chavez. There is a couple on the list that if they played like they used they would be able to play him. Everyone else has no chance but Chavez would probably ask for the 8 anyway.
I used to live in the NYC area and there are...
SVB getting up on the stroke is all part of the timing of the body. You think if he just started stroking standing up instead of starting low he would break as hard? If you see a front view of his break you will see his hips going into it.
If you really think it is all in just the arm stroke...
