    ob shaft warranty

Hey Royce, I wanted to mention that I too had an OB1 shaft splintering like what you saw in the picture and even worse, under the varnish, there was a tiny split near the joint. So what I did was, have a tiny piece of maple sanded into grains and used that as filler with wood glue and then...

    Cue Reccomendation

This is a hard one as to.... how much of quality can you get for your money's worth... My advice is to go with an R360 shafted cue by Cuetec or a Lucasi in that price range if it has to be new. But the best performance advice, I think, would be to keep your current MCD Lucky cue, even if it is...

How do Jim Pierce cues hit?

Sorry for the late chime in. I used to have a bocote/bird's eye maple Pierce cue with the bowling alley shaft on it. Since you're asking about the hit, I won't go into the good craftsmanship. It's hard to describe because even from one maker, a cue can "feel" differently. However, I have to say...

Cortland Linen (WTB) White w/blk specs

Don't mean to hijack your thread. But I dunno what type of linen is used in the way that maybe other brands come close enough. I have seen "Korda" braided lines around and they're silky smooth.. But maybe someone can tell you if they're close to cortland.

    Cheap uniloc break shaft?

Yeah I saw the Dr Cheng ones some time ago on e-bay too. The all black phenolic ones, they even exist in uni-loc. What you'll get though, is just that, the all black phenolic break ferrule. It gets the job done but it isn't by any means a precision tool like some of the other break cues out...

    predator air 2

    Slate question

You know, in the end stone is stone and friction is created by the cloth. The only thing I'm actually worried about is if granite for example can withstand shock from example jump shots.

    Cuechanger LD-shaft

I second that, thanks for the info. Final question, if a customer would say like for example, I'd like to have a 20+ grain shaft, how do you proceed. What's the extra charge on those?

    Cuechanger LD-shaft

Yeah I was wonderign about that too and can you tell something about the growth rings on the AAA? Is it like those types of old growth maple that have for example 16+ gpi?

Not sure, could be Peter Ernst too.

    Slate question

I get Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. If there's a topic about it, can you link me up because I can't find it?

    Slate question

Did anyone ever change their slates into granite? We had a table that got damaged during transport. The slate got broken, so I went to ask the price for granite, which is costly, but do-able. What I want to know, is that the seller told me granite is actually equally strong if not stronger than...

    Cuechanger LD-shaft

Hey RSCA, you should ask Markus (concept creator for those cues made by Stopps) what kind of maple is used. I shot with those cues over a year ago and indeed I was also impressed by their hit. The taper is nice and sleek too. Anyhow, when I shot with it, I thought the shaft had a higher gpi...

[HELP] Northern Rubber rails Cue Ball hops/jumps off the rail. WHY. [HELP]

Keep me posted as to what they come up with. Dynamic also came up short one time when I bought a Fury EV5 cue with 314 shaft. Suddenly I have another player in a poolhall with the same "limited number 001". Dynamic only claimed to have recalled that set. As for tables.... A percentage of them, I...

[HELP] Northern Rubber rails Cue Ball hops/jumps off the rail. WHY. [HELP]

This problem is familiar. In our club I noticed that same thing happening to our Dynamic tables too. I also noticed the northern rubbers feel a bit harder than, for example, artemis. You might consider a rail swap. Northern Rubbers originated doing snooker rubbers.

    Break cue and shaft

If the question is, is the difference big enough for the difference in money, then in my opinion; no. But in general the shaft got a tiny bit stiffer is what I noticed. This probably helps to deliver more power in the long run. So, they actually improved the break cue. But to each their own if...

    Break cue and shaft

Well, I'll give it some feedback too. I'm not a Predator fan, never will be. But that's because I don't play with a whole lot of low deflection material. I play with custom cues to my own specs. BUT I have to say that Predator does make decent material and products. In history long ago, even I...

Sloppy and incompetent work by Jim Pierce, poor customer service

Look, in life everyone can do good and bad. I have read some stuff that really damages Jim's reputation. I'll testify of what I witnessed. Over a lil' bit more than a week ago, I contacted Jim to ask if he could hook me up with a cue since I just sold mine to a friend who really wanted it. And I...

    Zahra Cues

Well, mine, after several months still no warp. But well warp occurs from climate changes and protective circumstances mostly, even though intense play will cause it too after the time. My point is, I guess, as long as it doesn't warp in awful amount over time, it's nothing to be worried about.
