    South Carolina Tournament

Greg, thanks for your sincere and kind offer. You're the first person that has actually offered me money to come to their event, and it really means a lot to me that somebody would think enough of me to do that. I really miss the South, and it's been a long time since I've been there. I am...

    What’s more important?

Hey, Joe, I feel the same way. I wish all the tournaments would be 10-ball. That would eliminate a lot of the side balls flying in on the break, and you're right. There are some professional rackers out there. I've played in a lot of tournaments and went zero to 10 on the break...

    Do You Remember This Guy?

Chuck and I used play in the local tournaments in Oceanside and San Diego. He would sneak up on you, if you didn't know him. I remember him beating Swanee a couple of times, and a few of the other decent players as well. He wasn't really a money player, but once in a while, he could show up...

Pool World Loses Another Good One-"H. Danielson"

Received a copy of an e-mail from Paul Poutier [Pool School in Paradise in Canada] as follows: "...I have some bad news. Harold Danielson died this morning. He was very sick and had been confined to a hospital bed since the middle of March. He was a Hemophiliac and ended up with a non...

Great seeing you again, John. Enjoyed seeing your pictures. Lots of tournaments out your way. Maybe we'll run into each other in Texas or thereabouts down the road. Here's a good picture of Rude Dog and Don.

    A fan's opinion - Thanks Keith

Harry, thanks for the kind words. We Irish got to stick together. :D Two of my favorite lady players on the tournament trail.

Happy Birthday, Diana!!!! Here's wishing Diana a very, very Happy Birthday, and many more to come! :) Missed seeing your smiling face at the Open this year and look forward to seeing you soon. You are the players' favorite photographer, and this pool world is lucky to have you! Keith

    A fan's opinion - Thanks Keith

Thanks for the kind words, Williebetmore. It's folks like you that make my pool world special. I'm back at the fort gearing up for the Derby and whatever else I can give a trimmer to. I'll be there with bells on, ready for battle! They ain't seen the last of this gladiator! ;)

    U.S. Open Pictures

I just saw him at the U.S. Open, and he looks like he's enjoying his life. Mike was 54 years old when he won the U.S. Open in '88. I have a greal deal of respect for Mike as a player and as a person. He comes to most every tournament I've been to lately, and I hope to see him at many more.

    Williams... UPA... Rankings... What the?!?!

I'm not hiding from my past, whether mine is more colorful than yours or not. I post on AzBilliards Discussion Forum to interact with fans, players, and others who have a passion for the game, like I do. I still enjoy the game myself. So what little years I do have left in my playing...

    Williams... UPA... Rankings... What the?!?!

You put a little too much energy bashing me, Cardiac Kid. You drag my name around like you know me and own me. I don't know where you get the right to say what you say. I wish you would say it to my face. Seeing so, we don't know each other -- and I am glad that we don't -- I am sure that we...

    12.5 or 12.75 shaft taper

Cut shot, it is an individual thing with a cue, and it comes down to the "feels." The length, between the ferrule and the joint, of taper is also an individual preference. I have a long stroke and like a 16.5-inch taper. My shaft is 12.75. I'd suggest you let your girlfriend use a smaller...

    Williams... UPA... Rankings... What the?!?!

Cardiac Kid, I'm not sure why you continue to bring up my name. I don't even know you. You did the same thing earlier this year in a thread about the Derby City Classic, which you later apologized for. I enjoy talking to the fans and other players, but it is posts like yours that create a...

    Bollman seeded... Mcready not?

I usually try to stay away from these kinds of threads, and I don't want to cast any negative light on the U.S. Open. Barry Behrman is a good friend of mine. For your information, Tex, about Dave Bollman, I respect his game and admire him as a professional player. He, too, is a friend of...

How Good Did Keith McCready Really Play?

Cueman, I'll never forget the time that I was in Knoxville at the World's Fair and decided to go out hustling pool. I walked in this bar and asked if anybody wanted to play some pool, and there happened to sit Vernon Elliott. I didn't know him at the time, but I sure got to know him after we...
