    Snooker cushions

Brunswick also used the step rubber on some snooker tables. I did one a couple of years ago and made patterns of the original curves before removing them and then used them for templates for sanding the new cushions curves down to size. It just takes time and a I used a 12' sanding disk with...

    Valley coin-op training seminar tomorrow.

I was looking forward to it Donny and know the education would be very helpful. I don't do too many bar boxes anymore but ironically was doing one Saturday morning. An older Valley 8' and the subrails are shot. Talked the guy into ordering Ridgeback rails and will install them sometime after...

    Valley coin-op training seminar tomorrow.

Wish I could make it up Glen but can't clear my schedule. Plus, action packed weekend with a ton going on close to home. If you're ever somewhere in the S.E. again, give a shout......and hopefully a little notice. Would love to have helped out up there!! Robin

Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Great pool room! Had the opportunity to play some racks at Big Dogs Sunday night while traveling through. Des Moines, you have a real gem there and I hope you support and cherish it. That place needs to survive as too many pool rooms around the country are not. My best compliments to the...

    Table Identification/Opinions - Born Winner?

Beware and do not use a cloth called Born Winner as it's a horrible, worsted cloth with knots galore! Also, (if I'm not mistaken) if you need to replace cushions, I believe they have K66 profile and not K55 so measure first before assuming they have K55's. If you'd prefer K55, get one of the...

    Removing glue from Valley slates

Try this: http://www.amazon.com/Supreme-Chemical-Kutter-Adhesive-Remover/dp/B000FNSZU4/ref=sr_1_3?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1332021788&sr=1-3 Goo Gone works well also. Let it sit for a few minutes and scrape it off.

    Pictures of hackwork section!

Serviced this table today after the guy called me for help. He said a moving company installed his table and his wife signed off on it when she was lured out of the room. They had this thing screwed up worse than any install I've ever seen. Pockets weren't attached, frame was never leveled...

    Exactly what I do Rick!

    Diamond subrail extension

Ditto what Donny said Jack! As far as stretching cushions.....I wouldn't try it as they are manufactured to their own profile and if you stretch them, it will slightly change the profile. Not good in my opinion!

How long does it take new cloth to 'relax'?

If it was installed correctly, it shouldn't move until the next time you recover it.

    Proform cloth

I agree with Jack that it's a good alternative to the higher priced worsted cloths. I suggest it over Titan when a customer asks for it as they are in the same price line. Have yet to have a home user not like it! Just did one Friday and they called me yesterday to let me know they love it...

Glen - if you can give me about a week notice on your arrival, I can road trip up there for a day or two. Dublin's about 2-1/2 - 3 hours North of me. I've done a couple install's in Wytheville which is not far from there so would be happy to help and learn that glue down method of yours!! Robin
