    Wanted: Cloth suggestions

I personally think ProForm is a decent substitute for Simonis at nearly 1/2 the price. I did a review on another worsted cloth I found on ebay and it sucked. Do a search for that review and you decide if you want to take a chance on it. Robin

    How much is cushion replacement?

Swallow your pride for a short while and deal with the guy. Once the table is in your vehicle, it's yours and you won't have to look back at him.

    Suggestions???

Thank you gentlemen and Rob for the phone call. I'll let you know what works but great suggestions. It is a side rail and the bolt is closest to a corner pocket so, if worse came to worse, it could go without one but I will get it with a little determination and of course your help! Thanks...

    Suggestions???

Anyone have experience with this and have ideas on how to extract a rail bolt from Connolly rail? A customer brought his rails to me for new cushions and apparently whoever put the table together 5 years ago cross threaded it so he hacked the head of the bolt off to get the rail off the table...

Help Choosing Cloth for my 8' Table ...

Simonis will be fine on an 8'. American Heritage cushions typically go bad in the first five years so if you got 10, you're a lucky soul! If you going to install new cloth, now would be an excellent time to change out those cushions. I have faith they will fail within a year of changing your...

Help Choosing Cloth for my 8' Table ...

He was probably referring to Invitational with Teflon. It's still a thinner less expensive cloth. Not sure others will agree but, I've had very good luck installing ProForm as it's a worsted cloth with a lower price tag than Simonis. Simonis set the standard for worsted, Professional grade...

    Hampton Ridge Billiards (supplier)???

Thanks Rob. Been doing business with Dick for many years but, used Hampton Ridge for some accessory items that B.W. doesn't carry. Someone posted on the main forum that they shut their doors a few months ago and sold off all inventory. I stopped into Dick's in Silvis about two years ago and...

    Hampton Ridge Billiards (supplier)???

Gentlemen (and any lady mechanics there may be) - I posted this in the main forum also: Is anyone aware of Hampton Ridge Billiards out of Palestine, WV going out of business? I stopped getting monthly news email a couple months ago and tried placing an order last week with no luck. I got...

    60's Brunswick what model?

Not sure of the exact model but it's a non-slate table. The white you see around the perimeter of the table is the ball return. There are perhaps 50 short screws that hold it from underneath on both the inside and outside of the return. The bed is one of Bruswick's honeycomb tables and not...

Home table subrail work. any tips?

Looks like some very quality work to me Donny.....big difference in that before and after!

    poor quality slate, what cloth?

You might try a backed cloth which would be slower than any worsted and can mask some of the poor rolls. Are you asking about changing out the rails or just the cushions? If it's just cushions, you need to measure them to determine the size and then look at the alternatives available to you at...

    rail repair

Nice work Jim! The only critique I could mention would be to cut the cloth relief a little more shallow or you may see a slight gap between the bed and rail. Great job though!!
