    Do you use a vacuum?

I use the Simonis X-1 every day, and vacuum with a shop vac once a month or so. Nothing else needed.

    What Tye Brush/Cleaning Method

After years of brushing, vacuuming, and damp wiping, I picked up a Simonis X-1 at Donny's suggestion. I am completely satisfied with it. Now, I just use the X-1 every morning. (I do vacuum the table every month or so, but that's more out of habit than necessity.) The table stays cleaner than it...

    Shorter Ferrules?

I have a 12.5mm shaft with a 1/2" ivory ferrule. Plays very nice. No disadvantages that I can see.

    Pool Table delivery vehicle

I can testify that the truck can haul. Jay zipped right up to my place with a Gold Crown in the back with no problem at all - and there are some very steep hills. Mountain goats work up a sweat and have to stop twice and rest trying to get up my driveway. -Howard

For the ones God takes away, and those left behind

Sweet cue. 2006? He sure did hang on to it for you. And you're right that Arnot is a really nice guy. Not a bad little cue maker, either. How are you liking those T3 shafts? Hard hitting critters, aren't they? -Howard

    Anybody Recognize This Hustler?

You can get your very own copy here. I love this guy's work, especially his Keith Richards pieces. But if I had that kind of money to spend, it would be on something longer, pointier, and more woody. Maybe with a leather tip.

Like to Buy a $3,000 Cue for $500!

It has less than 8,000 miles, gets 96 mpg, and I would glady accept $50-100 a month. Problem is, I called your number and the woman who answered said it would cost me $3.95 per minute to talk to you. Thought for a minute there we had a deal. :p

    Ivory Care

Thanks for the responses. I've always taken care of ivory ferrules the same as others and have had no trouble. But with all of you guys here, it seemed like a good time to make sure I was okay. Thanks again. Howard

    Ivory Care

In the last year or so, I have acquired several cues with ivory butt caps, joints, and ferrules. I was once told that ivory ferrules need special care (baby oil, I think he said). Is this true? Do you need to do something to care for ivory ferrules? What about the end of the joint, where it...

    I've noticed something...but maybe nothing

Some people, even non-pros, do this to allow their shooting hand to "breathe" a little, so the sweat dries up.
