    You may need new rail cloth depending on the rail size 5-6" width is needed being new to rail work 6" might be easier for you.

    I have never seen a plug for the holes. replace foot rail with another head rail. drill out the hole to be round call them drink holders. reformica the rails. make an insert and call it a chalk holder or penny holder. other then that a little dab of silicone to hold them in place.

    Like glen said Ridgeback rails Simmions Cloth. Clean the slate and trim cloth so not a lot of build up on back of rails are key to making the table play great after speeding good money on the table.

    Most will be loose they are only tight or snug if needed to raise the low spot on the table. those are your slate levelers.

    You can to i bought an aniversary table on a madison frame just add 2x2 along the edge bolt in like a t rail table then drill 2x2 for bottom bolts to rail. Just make the holes big enough to adjust rails for alignment.

    Bad level job. Shimmed outside but not center of slate for support were needed. Level frame again then level slate. Assuming new table not a poorly stored old one..

    3/8x16x2-1/2"long roughly all my spare handy parts in California I'm in as for awhile. Buy a couple different lengths with washers and screw together lightly and use a tape measure.
