    Orcullo vs. Frost- Live Reports

Dennis didn't play with the intensity in the final day that he had in the prior days. Shot quicker and with less tension. Obviously he felt that he could turn it on again if needed. At this point Scott caught a little gear and won some games but then faltered on a critical easy shot . Dennis at...

Why Dennis will Take Home the Cash!

Playing this style that you say about Dennis is the reason why he might lose. Playing with that type of intensity in a race to 40 could frazzle his mind and get him exhausted near the end. Scott's style will help him preserve his mental energy for this long race. But then again I guess Dennis...

Baltimore "buddy" Daniel Dennis passed on.....

I've always tried to treat people with respect, never dumped a game, played and honest game and etc. But I'm sure that when I pass there will be someone that will have something negative to say about me. As far as I'm concerned Buddy was an ok guy with me. we played several times in the 70's...

Are there any old archives of previous APA singles nationals player lists?

I'm pretty sure he played in 2005. And pretty sure that Brian Parks beat him that year.

Strange foul, is this ball in hand?

I have a question that somewhat relates to this type of foul. What if you have ball in hand are shooting on the eight ball. You pick up the cue ball to place it on the table and it falls out of your hand and drops into a pocket. What's the rule here? Would it be scratch and loss of game?

Strange foul, is this ball in hand?

I'll go with what this man says since he's had some experience with these matters.

Not Brian Parks. I won it 2004 and he won it after I did. He is a good friend of mine.

    One pocket rule question

I believe you are correct. Highest numbered ball.

    One pocket rule question

Yes, the head string and if two balls are tied for that position then I believe the lowest numbered ball goes on the spot. Many times it's the shooters choice.

    8-ball

Just wondering what ball are you both playing off that would hook both of you? In regards to re-racking after three attempts without trying to do something I can see that in tournament play but in a gambling game both must agree to the re-rack. If you're playing ball in hand on fouls then...

One Pocket - Ceative "Owe a Ball" markers

I have found that that system doesn't always work depending on who your opponent is. That coin mysteriously seems to change it's position every once in a while. In those games I prefer multiply coins.

    Why Draw?

I don't know about others or the pros but the reason I hit low on the cue ball is because I can hit the center of the cue ball better. When hitting higher on the cue ball if you miss it slightly off the vertical you will put unwanted spin and that spin transfers to the object ball causing it to...

PAY OFF EVERY GAME!! (Gambling & Pool)

Absolutely correct. Let him try raising two kids with no mother around where your income was from playing pool like I did. Matching up to test yourself is the last thing you want to do. Suckers and idiots were fine for me.

PAY OFF EVERY GAME!! (Gambling & Pool)

It all depends on who you're playing and the situation you're in. Mostly you have to play with your smarts and instinct. If you played a stranger and played by the game it was pay after every game. That was fine but you could always expect to get stiffed for the last game. I realized that to...
