    Mike Davis

I wanted to say thanks. A lot of u said some real nice things about me on here. And pretty much everyone was on with their comments. No, i/most pool players don't make a ton of money. And I average around 20,000/year in expenses but as someone else mentioned there are a lot of small events...

    Mike Davis

No he didn't cover the hotel with his winnings but I wouldn't have wanted him to. He beat me fair and square. And he of course thinks his good run would have continued forever had I not forced him to leave so who knows how much I cost him. I hated being a not so nice guy to my friend but I...

Backer Wanted for Million Dollar Challenge - Mike Davis

In the past, fellow player John Schmidt had a wonderful opportunity given to him by Purdman when it came to the U.S. Open. So, I thought I would give it a shot myself and see if there is anyone out there willing to back me for Allen Hopkins Million Dollar Challenge event. The entry is $5000...

    Looking for tournament

I believe the Jacoby Carolina tour is having a stop in that area this saturday. Unfortunately it seems every time they have an event I have one in the northeast a little closer to home so I won't be there. You can call Doug Ennis at (252)908-0754 for datails.

    For Pros only

I am told that I was only 11 months old when my father cut off the top foot or so of a cue for me to play with and he had me crawling around trying to push one ball at a time into the pocket on our table at home. I remember being able to run a few balls at 9 but that is when my dad quit taking...

I believe everyone is mistaken about the top 100

Bola Ocho is right. Unfortunately for me because I played so poorly at the first IPT event that I am one of those in danger of losing my card. If I only had to compete with the members I wouldn't be stressed right now. KT has stated clearly on several occasions that a qualifyer can earn a...

    Sniper tip

I have been using Snipers for a few years now and find them to be more consistent than Moori's as someone stated earlier on this thread. Hit is firm enough to be accurate but soft enough to be able to put extreme amounts of english when neccessary. I know Shawn Putnam and many other pros use...

Predator Cues, Predator Shafts A POLL

I just wanted to say that the predator shaft has changed my life and allowed me to realize my dream of becoming a pro player. Using a conventional shaft I had extreme difficulty aiming many shots, especially when using inside english. Now I feel confident using whatever amount and whatever...

    Closer To Home ?

The Carolina Amateur tour has an event in Winston Salem on March 26, Greensboro on April 23, and May 14th in Charlotte. There is also a South Eastern Open event in Sevierville, TN on Apr 1-2. All these and more can be found in the AZ Billiards tours and tournaments section. If I'm not...

    100 ball runs...

It was in fact TJ La Flamme. To answer Craig's question, I have broken 100 a few times, with 145 being my high run. But I don't play straight pool that often.

    100 ball runs...

The greats did run hundreds regularly. I know quite a few unknown players who did it with some regularity and I hear all the great players used to when 14.1 was the game everyone played. I witnessed Alex Pagulayan in a match a few years ago against T.J., a room owner from Maine. Many of you...

    9-Ball on the Snap

I just wanted to mention that the Florida Pro Tour is actually a 10-ball tour. Many of the people in this thread have been talking about switching to 10-ball instead of 9-ball. However this doesn't prevent the money ball from being made on the break. Both are good games, but either way if you...

$1,500 one day event Feb 19th Coment Billiards Blaze 9 Ball Tour

That was a misprint. The tournament will be on Sunday, February 26th. These are great one day tournaments. Comet Billiards has gold crowns that are always in top playing condition and plenty of space between tables.
