Aaron_S said:I'm thinking about trying this tip too, but you guys are scaring the hell out of me with these warnings, lol. Could anyone get a little more specific on the difficulties involved in installing a Sniper tip? I've been installing my own tips for years, but at $15-$18 a pop I'll let someone else do it if it's that easy to screw up. Thanks.

Tokyo-dave said:I use a custom made tip made by a local guy here in Japan. He doesn't keep them in shops, so unless he's up to date, it can be hard to get his tips. When I can't get one, I use Snipers, and have been pleased. Like everyone says though, they're a real pain to install. I install them by hand, but I've found that your blade needs to be EXTREMELY sharp. More than a typical exacto blade. And the sides won't burnish like a typical tip in a short period of time. A guy I know is always wiping the grease off his nose and applying it to the sides of his Sniper. He swears by it!!!
