How do you like your BALLS ;)

I recently played 9b on a 9'er with Aramith tournament balls, and found them to be kind of heavy. They rolled very nice, but I found it harder to break since the cue ball was quite heavy, especially when I racked up 8 ball racks and broke those. (Also, for some reason, I found they were a little bit more difficult to rack for some reason, are they marginally smaller?)

I hear the Cyclop balls are quite light by comparison.

Thoughts? Preferences?

I have both Cyclop and Tournament sets. In my opinion, the Aramith Tournament balls are superior to the Cyclop balls.

I like the older aramith balls, the 125 dollar sets

I like the look, plus they play a little different I've noticed
Why I play better with the cheap set, no clue

I like the cue ball to match the object balls. That's all. Very simple. Then at least you know what you're up against. When they don't match, it's a crap shoot.

I have Aramith Tournaments, Centennials, and Cyclops skittles sets. The oldest set is 3 1/2 years old. I think they are all good quality sets. The Aramith Tournament set might stay cleanest the longest (I also have a Diamond polisher I use regularly) but I am seeing the same out of the Cyclops set, it could be because of the light pastel colors that the Cyclops seem to hold their freshly polished shine for a long time, my other 2 sets are darker standard colors. I dont think you can go wrong buying any of those 3 sets. Mine all rack very nice (Delta 13 Elite and template) and play nice. The Tournament set is right at about $400, Centennials around $370.00 and Cyclops $200 which makes them a smoking deal!!

I regularly play Aramith, Centennials, and the Cyclops balls. The only problem I ever had with any was the cyclops cueball. Judging speed and distance was difficult; let alone spin on the darn thing. I bought a set of TV cyclops balls in a group sale here on AZ awhile ago, and shortly after played everywhere with them exclusively. The OB's were fantastic in the cyclops set, but the CB was hard to dial-in. I subbed a blue-circle and problems with control were over.

I keep my balls very close to me, they are always near and dear.
Always clean and ready to go

I've had the chance to play more on "American style equipment" lately. Diamond tables and Cyclop balls. The Diamond tables I got used to immidately, but not the Cyclop balls. The cueball is very hard to control and they just seem to respond differently than the balls I'm used to. Also I was playing with the Skittle set, and the colors gave me a headache. The new Aramith tournament set is just great, though. It plays pretty much perfectly. This could be because they are brand new, as compared to the aging Pro-cup sets I'm used to playing with, but they seem to play very well indeed. I also like the "font" and general design of the balls, but not as much as I do the Centennials.

There is only one pool ball to play if you have the choice.........Brunswick Centennial by Saluc in Belgium whom also makes Aramith pool balls.
I own three sets having just picked up a brand new set......will likely sell the set I presently play with......I switch sets about every 18 months.

I choose to buy my pool equipment from a local "brick and mortar" business. I dont like using the interweb where someone in their basement on the computer is making money by having stuff drop shipped to you. Thats just my preference. It will be a sad day when you cant walk into a store and put your hands on the product before shelling your cash out for it but that day is fast approaching, At least I will be able to say I did not help usher in that way of shopping.
