The knock-offs SUCK. Interiors are second-rate and the straps and their attach points are very poor compared to the REAL case. Whether you like JB or not his cases are LIGHT years better than any knock-off i've seen yet. Oh yeah, the prices for a REAL case aren't that much more than a copy. A 3x6 JB is only 100bux more than a comparable Omega Acme. You'd have to be a moron or braindead not to pay 100bux to insure the safety of your cues.

I own 4 JB basic rugged cases, the best case I have ever owned.
Last year I saw a knockoff case that looked like a basic rugged at Seyberts and bought it. It was about $50 cheaper than a JB and I was very disappointed when I received it. Quality was not the same and the length was a bit shorter.
Buy, JB, get the real deal.

That's bullshit I know several people that have those acme cases and they are not a piece of shit by any stretch of the imagination, are they as good as a JB case no they are not , but unless you sling your case around like a rag doll your cues are just as safe in thier cases ,
Whoever you are...you have ZERO clue about quality pool cue cases. Like others said, you can dislike John, for whatever excuse you like, but his cases speak for themselves! They are the best available. There are other quality cases out there, but the knockoffs are not part of them. ShootingHank, you are the epitome of a NIT! :angry:

What's the point of buying a case if you have worry about babying the case itself? Why nit around trying to save a C-note? My cues are worth the few extra $$ EVERY time.

Who said anything about babying I certainly don't baby mine and I've yet to have a cue damaged while in the case , and in fact JB said what caused him to up grade the interior was a cue falling out of his case and hitting floor ,

Without even knowing exactly what happened, if someone gets punched by anyone, they 90% of the time deserved it. Too many people go out to be extra ass-hats because they know whoever starts the fight would get in more trouble so they just start to see how far they can push someone. I've seen a few idiots act up in pool rooms over the bar table that would have gotten them shot 100 years ago without anyone saying anything against the shooter.

Agreed. I’m not trying to be comedic here but there definitely was a time when you could call someone to account for the words they spoke, from fisticuffs to a duel with lead or even swords. Can you imagine having to back up your words with Sharp steel while someone tried to put holes in your bod? That would be fullest intensity and many people would instead choose their words more carefully and be more civilized in general. Occasional barbarity is needed to keep so many living together in harmony...now that we’ve lost that it’s a mad house. So..possible good job jb
