This is World Championships NOT some regional tourney or any other major. The level of play is many notches higher because the good players all over world fight to play in this so the pressure / hunger to win is so much higher than any other major. There are ex-world champions in qualifiers (Chao and Yukio) who did not get invite putting their pride on line.to play qualifiers and there are players who only save and travel overseas just to play this one tournament. That tells you what this tourney means to the players.
At least 4 to 5 dozen players can win this whole thing. So this is no child's play
