1/9/19 SVB vs Shaun Wilkie 10 ball race to 11 alternate break

Bumping this up for those who may not be aware. 2 says until the SVB vs Wilkie race to 11 for the cash and our 4th pro amateur event with many great players. All lice streamed by TV Mike. If you come we also have 8 player bar table mini tournaments as long as there are participants.

Tables recovered and playing very nice!

I beat a 700 9-0 in a tourney once and that is 100pt over my (100 game, but pretty accurate rate, given the company I know in that zone)...so upsets do happen.

But it would be a pretty good bet to always take the higher rates player.

I see you at a 589 on there right now, and I'd estimate that's got you about 40 or 50 points underclocked, speaking honestly. I know several players in the vicinity of 620 who need weight.

In a single race anything can happen. I have beat Johnny Archer and Tommy Kennedy once each in tournaments and everyone knows that is not supposed to ever happen.
I beat another top pro to 9 one time, but unfortunately that day the race was to eleven and I lost the match 11-9. :)

Short race like to 11 and alternate breaks gives Shaun a fighting chance. IMO, if it was winner breaks and race to 25+ Shaun have no chance.

Shawn Wilkie is, without a doubt, one of the most underrated players in America. He has gotten around to beating a lot of top players in competition, and is always a tough out when drawn as an opponent. Nonetheless, even with alternate break, this is very tough action for Shawn.

The difference in the break and run rate in 10-ball is substantial here, and I make Shawn, who is one of the nicest guys in our sport, at least a 2-1 underdog.

Real pool players play on the weekend. What's this wednesday business? I'd truck up there if i didnt have to work and give my daughter some food.

We are 30 minutes from the Turning Stone Casino which hosts Mike Zuglan's Turning Stone Classic this Thursday to Sunday. So there is a lot of talent in town that we get to come to our room.

Billy Thorpe is confirmed for the pro am

Kazakis and Denis Grabe are going to try and get here in time to play.

John Morra says he is coming.

Couple other big names possible.

There will be several top players from the Turning Stone field. This should be a great event.

You have done good to promote the game, players and Salt City Billiards since the reopening. No matter what day of the week you have events its all good. I will make it a point to stop in and say hi next time I am in the area.

Thanks for putting this together and keeping us updated.

Thanks to TV Mike, my staff, the players and fans.
Tomorrow will be a good day.

Shane is in town and we are all lucky to have him as the lead dog in US pool.

Hope a lot of people Will support this and buy the stream. Pool needs all the support we can bring.

Shaun reminds me a lot of Tom D'A.

Both underrated, and both are capable of beating anyone at any time, at more games than 9 ball.

Thank you! I'm quite proud of the way that they look. The bumper pool table (though my first time working on one) turned out awesome. And, it is surprisingly fun to play on (I had never played before).

Bumper pool table getting lots of action.
Expect some tonight for sure.

Johnny Archer is on his way to play the tourney. How sweet it is.

Here's where you get the stream.

I appreciate that it's gonna be streamed but, I gotta say it... the website organization is terrible.

It doesn't indicate whether the featured match costs money, or how much,
anywhere on the front page or on the flyer. If you wait a few seconds for the video
to load, it says "get a paid membership".

And to find that you'd click... "dashboard"??
Why "dashboard"? Why not, say, "memberships" or "sign up" or "subscription plans" or "buy stream"?

Then, if you hover over "membership groups" you're offered a submenu with 4 options...
free, monthly charge, 3-month, or annual. And of course if you click any of those non-free options
it warns you it's a recurring charge which will scare off almost everyone,
people just want to pay 1 time to see this match.

It turns out there's a secret 5th option, indicated nowhere, which you can see
if you click on "membership groups" instead of on one of the sub-options.

This brings you to the extremely well-hidden page where you can buy just the wilkie vs svb stream
(plus access to other stuff) for $11.99.
(and honestly... just make it $12 even. The .99 isn't fooling anyone lol.)
