I am thinking about raffling off a #2 pencil customized to be the world's smallest pool cue with a graphite core for a very reasonable $1 per shot with only 100 entries. The day it fills up, I will go down to Taco Bell and eat about 4 orders of refried beans and the winning number will be picked as the number of times I pass gas between 6PM and 10PM. Any questions??? Yeah, people complaining about good quality space on the For Sale forum are taking up this valuable space with their non-selling threads whining about raffle threads that actually are selling something - maybe not the way YOU want - but what are these complainers selling - ANYTHING??? Got any for sale threads being bumped by the raffle threads? I didn't think so. And if you do, then these whiny threads are bumping them off the first page too!!
Yes, it is your right to complain on an open forum, but it doesn't seem to be hurting the raffles, just hurting the other for sale posts that are not being looked at as much. The ones your are trying to PROTECT.

The cues are selling,someone is getting a great deal from the raffles and the buyer moves his product,the raffle is legit using the Powerball method,to be honest its a great thing and some people just complain to complain I suppose,get laid,get drunk,go play pool and have a good weekend or go kick your dog.

While I pitch it for an raffle once in a while, It starts to get annoying when there are so many. My post is not really a negative one, merely making fun of all the auctions. If you didn't find it funny, then you can simply choose to ignore it, or not read it

I agree completely that its getting out of control, these raffles. Pretty soon anyone who wants to dump there cue for whatever reason will put up some absurd numbers and odds to get rid of what they have. I believe there should be a different category to go look at these things, lets call it gambling for garbage or something like that.
