Can somebody do a list of do's and don'ts for one pocket.
Short and sweet. Not long and involved.
Something like
1- leave the cue ball on the rail for your opponent.

Here's one from Dan DiLiberto:

"Never shoot a shot that can lose the rack unless it can also win the rack."

A couple right off the bat:

1. Ye and thy opponent shalt post the monies of the wager before the first ball is struck.

2. Thou shalt learn to break well in a consistent manner for all manner of table.

Lou Figueroa
I could go on and
do at least 10
but will let others go

Play the count

If I have 3 and you have 0 all the balls are going up table. Grady Mathews!

1st commandment... thou shall not miss. Thou shall not leave opponent a shot.

Dont kick at balls on the short rail

Difficult shot vs easy duck should not require an actual decision

When in doubt, take a foul

From the best hustler I ever knew 'get the nutz and bet high' !
So many players get the best of it and don't bet high enough
to win anything.....right BB ? lollol
RIP Seattle Sam

If the balls are laying good, and you think you can get out.....
...keep playing position for the ball farthest from your hole.

When you get a champion down 6-0....make sure you run another 2 balls before you leave the table.

(I know this one from recent experience..)

When you have 7 balls, don't ever, ever shoot at your hole,,,,,, unless it's a hanger

So glad you didn't actually pull the trigger on deleting your accounts.

Welcome back!!!!

Thou shalt watch Accu-stats one pocket matches

Thou shalt buy Tom Wirth’s book

Remember thy pocket, and keep it hole-y

Thou shalt choose defense over offense

Thou shalt take out thy opponent’s hanger, even if it means pocketing it

Honor thy cueball and keep it safe

Thou shalt not leave thy opponent’s corner ball available after the break

Thou shalt learn to shoot a spot shot

Thou shalt play the score

Though shallt cringe when you hear the words “Bet High, Kiss Low”

If ahead, try to keep only the number of balls you need in play.

Don't leave dead balls.

Congest the banking lanes, make sure he can't herd the blockers to his hole with impunity.

Create multiple threats, make him have to defend high and low.

Sometimes it's better to miss.

Make him shoot the balls away from his pocket.

Leave him jacked-up.

Leave him on the stack or frozen to a ball.

Protect your threats with the stack or blockers.

Be patient: build a position/let him make the mistakes.

Intentional fouls are your friend.

That's the one I'm having a problem with.
I break about 6 " from the rail.
My cue ball does not end up near the rail after the break, more like a foot out.

I suggest to use more inside English. Adjust your initial aimpoint accordingly.
