I played there for about three hours last night and one of the employees told me they might be getting a ten foot pool table, a European make. I didn't know there was any such thing.

My Glory Days (1950's - 1970's) were spent on
5 x 10's and I would be very pleased to see a
few appear at the local Pool Halls.

You know what bothers me?
There have been many excellent 5x10's made by Brunswick.
I've played on 5x10 Arcades, Anniversaries, and Gold Crowns from
coast to coast.
Where did they all go?

I've said to myself, if I ever get a table I'd like to get a 5x10 so I can some pool and some snooker.

I'm guessing it's a business decision base upon square footage. Raytown Recreation in MO has a 5 x 10 that has some history (it was orginally in the famous Kling and Allen's poolroom in KC and supposedly used in World Championship play). They are different to play on. I've always been able to jump back and forth between the 9 footers and 7 footers but playing on the 5 x 10 has always given me trouble.

This place is sounding better all the time. On my next visit in September, I'll be getting on that 10 footer for sure.

I heard they were putting Diamonds in there. Wonder why he didn't just call Diamond for a 10 footer. Maybe Ermanno doesn't know they're going to be making some. Anyway, it will certainly be one more reason to go there.

I'll probably go there some evening next week and ask him. The other person said only that he was considering it. It's no done deal. She seemed to be indicating it might go in one of the private rooms they charge extra for.

It was a little slow when I was there Friday night. I'm coordinating with someone to maybe put together a workplace group to go there the Monday night after next to help out the room a little.

Still have a 5x10 Gandy at the hall I go to, but it is a snooker table. I still play on it with billiard balls to practice my stroke.
