$100,000.00 of ADDED MONEY!

Why shouldn't she advertise her INCREDIBLE tournament in this forum?

JoeyA

Six months before the tournament? The last few years Vivian came on here (the main forum) every few hours of everyday for months on end with something like, "Spots are going fast, don't get shut out". Imagine if every tournament got promoted like that on the main. It's wrong, and you know it. Johnnyt

Hopefully Vivian doesn't get sick/injured this year -- I heard the last one was sorta a disaster.

And the website has the Mosconi Cup logo - so are we to assume this was added to the schedule as a point event

Spam is eye of the beholder, methinks......

5k added amateur bar table for both the women and the mens is incredible. That will be the largest money added amateur event of the year.

I do wonder what will be the way they determine amateur status. I would say fargo rate maybe but I was looking at the fargo rate thing the other day and so many of the great regional players have no rating or are given preliminary ratings under 600, which is considerably inaccurate.

Yea, hate to have posts about a big money tournament cluttering up the forum.

Instead let's have a couple more threads about how a lot of guys can run 8-12 racks at will!

I was thinking the same thing.

Thanks for the info Joey!
You're welcome Cuebuddy.

Johnnyt,
This may be one of the most incredible tournaments of the YEAR and you want to whine about someone promoting pool..........:scratchhead:

Sometimes, I have to wonder why some people belong to this forum.

I don't understand for the life of me, why ANYONE would make disparaging remarks about an event of this magnitude AND QUALITY.
Can't you even be happy for someone else?

Come over to the BIG Senior's One Pocket event in Houston at Bogie's this week. There's a whole bunch of old codgers playing in it and maybe some of their positivity will rub off on you.

JoeyA

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is finally getting back to supporting pool in a BIG way and you want to welcome them with WHAT..... The Seminole Tribe of Florida has historically held some of the GREATEST pool events pool has ever seen. They have respected the players of yesteryear and sponsor pool players and pool TOURNAMENTS.

THEY ARE OUTSIDE OF THE INDUSTRY.
ISN'T THIS WHAT THE POOL WORLD IS DYING FOR? (HUGE ADDED MONEY, VARIETY OF POOL EVENTS etc.)

And what do you think they get out of all this? They're trying to spread a little love around this wretched microcosm we all claim to love and you (and others) want to whine about them posting in the Main Forum.

I don't get some people...this looks to be a great tournament coming up by Vivian...

So what if she or her team starts a thread and updates it every day 100 times a day...she wants exposure...that's what golf and tennis and NBA etc
..etc...do...but on a bigger scale tv...etc...

Anyways I've met vivian and she was super nice and a true professional of the sport.

Think of AZ and the threads as TV channels....I used to like MTV but I don't any more....guess what I do I don't click on that channel any more so when you see a thread with the tornado open....don't click on it but let those who want a future in this sport via playing or watching to enjoy.

It's at the Seminole casino, there must be some association

Yeah there is a division just for Native players.
So, yeah... absolutely a direct connection.

Im seriously thinking of packing up a few of our killers and heading on down there for this one.

Pedro,
You are right about Vivian. She is super nice and a true professional.

While I am not part of her team, nor did she or anyone else ask me to start this thread or even talk about this event. I would however, strongly consider being her "Jack" in the Jack & Jill tournament.

Good going, Seminoles! If I am reading correctly, this is actually 9 events, as follows:

Scotch Doubles (Jack & Jill) -- $25,000 added
Men's Pro 10-Ball -- $25,000 added
Women's Pro 10-Ball -- $25,000 added

Men's Amateur 9-Ball -- $5,000 added
Women's Amateur 9-Ball -- $5,000 added

Native-only Men's 8-Ball -- added money not stated
Native-only Women's 8-Ball
Native-only Men's 9-Ball
Native-only Women's 9-Ball

So a pro player would be eligible to play in two of the events, with a combined $50,000 added.

Plus the hard rock in hollywood is a blast - great poker room, casino, hotel, restaraunts, night clubs, around the clock drinking :) hottt women(and men for those of you that are into that kinda thing :) ).

Only problem is Hard Rock hotel is very expensive - usually $500-$600/night and its probably 15 - 20mins to find anything reasonable.

Ft.lauderdale is 15mins, Miami probably around 30mins. Man do I miss being home!

May the best man win!

Pedro,
I don't know how well you play, but we can play for who will be Vivian's "Jack".

Is that a typo? $500-$600 a night. That seems unreal expensive.
I may have to check with 23 and me to see if I have a little Native American in me. My mom always said that her grandmother was part Cherokee. :)

You can stay at a five star resort in Hawaii for that price. CRAZY! I'll pass.
