It would be quite funny to go back and look into Paul Schofields thread about the dress code at his place, and see how many folks applauding and supporting him. Then come back and see some of those same folks here bashing the Women's Professional Tour THAT IS ON TV for having a dress code. I'm not gonna bother to look, but I'm thinking there just might be a few examples...
Personally, I realize it looks silly, spelled out. Someone else pointed out that they have to spell it out because if you don't you will have those who will push the boundaries and test the enforcement. This is the absolute truth. They are attempting to control how they project their image, as a tour. Since they are marketing their product, they not only have the right, but the responsibility to do so. The discussion of how successful their leadership is or isn't is a whole other argument, unless you truly believe this dress code is causing some issue with their success/lack thereof.
Look, I don't get the 100% cotton argument either. I'm simply not gonna make a big deal about it. Someone involved probably knows the reason, and there certainly must have been one to spell it out like that.
