$1000.00 Cue

depending on who you have make it.. it is possible..

only problem is alot of the more bigger name makers
start at like 1800.. but there is a lot of people under the radar
that will make a cue just as good for what your asking...

Greg Sirca is real close to you in pueblo....He makes custom 1 of a kind cues with lots of ivory and inlays for under 1000.00 gscues.com

I think Skip Weston basic cues start about $800 with two shafts and maybe Jim Buss around the same price range, not sure how much they have went up and its been awhile since I talked to him. Really depends what you want. That will buy you a nice Gilbert and many others allready made but if you want to design your own cue that might be another story. Hope this helps and if you need pointed in the right direction let me know.

Nope, Skip's basic 4 point, 4 veneer cue is 1100.00 now. Worth every penny tho'. If you can squeeze the extra 100.00, you will not be disappointed...his work will blow you away.

Yes.....

...a few names come to mind...

JW Petree
Joe Callaluca
Greg Sirca
Jerry Rauenzahn

...and I am sure many others I can't think of right now.

for around 1000 you can get a gilbert 4 point with 4 or 5 veneers and half ivory joint. In my search for the perfect "hit" and classic good looks, this is the best that i have found(regardless of price).

Also, if you have considered going used, as opposed to new, there are some fine cue deals to be found.

Joe is very humble, but he often has some of the nicest cues, at the sweetest prices, very often under the 1K mark...or very close to it. Check out his website when you get a chance: www.bamacues.com

Bob Dzuricky www.dzcues.com is one that comes to mind, though there are many that will make a great cue for that or less.

Chad Carter is another good choice imho. Excellent to work with.

Greg Kucharski, a cue builder in Connecticut, does terrific work. Greg will build you a custom cue with points and veneers for under $1000. he's a great guy to work with and stands behind his work 100%.

check out his work at gregskues.com

For a sweet hitting cue in the six to eight hundred dollar range, check out Ned Morris. I don't know how much he's working these days (poor health), but I believe he will be in Derby City with some cues.

Stacey/howard

Mike Stacey In Noblesville Indiana Make Cues That Look Very Much Like Southwests For Under 1000. Or Rick Howard (mace Jump Breaks) In Florida Makes Custom Cues That Are The Best Cue On The Market I Think, And They Start At Around 950. George Breedlove Plays With One.

Jack Madden makes some nice cues for under 1000.. makes some really nices ones over that as well..
