Smart manAgree. Bergam made a big hurrah that he'd play the tour this year, and didn't even show up to DCC.

Did you forget that Fedor isn't a citizen either? Jesus' home country of Venezuela is also war stricken and in political strife, as was Fedor's home country. They should extend special treatment for everyone, not just the best player in the world. Fair is fair.Bergman is a non factor. He doesnt leave home. Guy dont even play Derby. Pure waste of talent.
Jesus is da bomb...but unless matchroom changes their rules, he isn't a citizen.
Actually, that was Scott Frost that made a big hurrah that Bergman would play the tour this year. He said he speaks to Bergman on the phone regularly and they are close.Agree. Bergam made a big hurrah that he'd play the tour this year, and didn't even show up to DCC.
Not part of "tour"Agree. Bergam made a big hurrah that he'd play the tour this year, and didn't even show up to DCC.
If Bergman has Mosconi aspirations, which is not verified, I mind it.I don't mind him not playing at Derby, because it wouldn't earn him any ranking points towards Mosconi Cup.
Hard to argue with that sir. Frost picking Bergman just because they're buddies would leave a bad taste in my mouth, just like Skyler picking Billy. But at least Billy earned some points to get himself in the conversation. If Bergman has Mosconi aspirations, which is not verified, I mind it.
If he were serious about returning to his 9ball form of a decade ago, Derby City, played only about 250 miles from his hometown of St Louis, was the logical starting point. It has nothing to do with WNT ranking points as he will not contend for an automatic berth on Team USA. I respect his decision but, unless the fix is in, and the Team USA captain plans to offer him a spot that he has not earned, he needs to get busy competing at 9ball.
If we are going to go with a part time player, Meglino (9th at the WNT Florida Open and 3rd at the Derby City 9ball) has a resume that is leaps and bounds above Bergman at 9ball.
Doesn’t matter. See SJM’s answer. Him not showing up means he’s not serious. Not part of "tour"
Good point. Wasn't he also the one that made a bs farewell tour for Efren, 5 years in a row? hahah I may be mistaken and it was someone else.Actually, that was Scott Frost that made a big hurrah that Bergman would play the tour this year. He said he speaks to Bergman on the phone regularly and they are close.
I've never heard Bergman's own personal thoughts on the matter. Unless there's some FB post he made or interview on Youtube that I didn't see.
