Hey Ya'll, I was on billiardcue.com today and saw a few higher end cues I would consider purchasing. I was wandering if anyone has ever dealt with them before. There are some really nice cues for sale but they have been for a while. Do they not get any business or what? Any opinions good or bad would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You, John

yup.

dick abbott is a straight shooter, and is very honest.

goodluck.

Billiardcue

To be honest, I have heard good and bad things about the site when doing some research on a cue I was interested in. I would just go directly to the source. I know he posts occasionally on here. I would just email him directly and ask him about whatever cue you're interested in. That way you can find out for yourself if he is someone you'd want to do business with.

I ordered a SouthWest for friend of mine from Dick and I gotta tell ya, it was as easy as 1,2,3. Dick was very personable and easy to work with. Someone said they've heard bad things but from my personal experience dealing with him it went as smooth as silk. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to order something from him.

I bought a Gus Szamboti from him about 5 years ago and the cue was exactly as described and well worth the money.

He wasn't giving it away, I paid retail at the time for the cue but it has since went up in value and I am very happy with the deal.

Dick and Billiardcue.com

I have nothing but good experiences with Dick Abbott and billiardcue.com I would recommend them to anyone.

I used to work in the billiards industry in Japan where one of my jobs was purchasing higher end cues on behalf of a Japanese customer and have purchased several cues from Dick with no problem. Always straight to the point, professional, and in many cases went out of the way to make sure my client got what they wanted. The only reason that you sometimes hear bad things about him is because compared to many of the other high end dealers, his prices are almost always higher than what you can find elsewhere. So, if you can find the same cue elsewhere, you'll probably get a better deal, but if he's got "that one cue" that you really want, he's great to deal with.

Dick Abbot is a great guy to deal with. He always pays promptly when he buys and pays a fair price. I have sold several things to Dick over the years and he has always been easy and great to deal with.

i bought a cue from him last month. received it whem promised, cue was exactly as described. would defenitely do business with him again.

I bought some moori tips from him when I lived in Blacksburg, VA. It was a few years ago when they were hard to find. He was only about 30-45 min away so I drove out to his place to pick up the tips instead of having them shipped (I'm not very patient). I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again.
