This is an old thread everyone, but a friend wanted to see my table and this is the easiest way to do it! :) .

So, I got a new lap top and a new web cam for x=mas. I set it up and played a quick race to 5 - 10 ball against the ghost......I think I edged out the ghost 5/2.....I am still learning how to set this cam up, and get the best picture.

I also have a 92ball run on this Vimeo website....which is REALLY easy to upload to!

check out video http://vimeo.com/18252195

thanx for checking it out.

Good shooting

You shoot really well. Nice table and cam. Who gave it to you? And will they put me on their Xmas list next year? lol

Gerry,

What kind of web cam is it? The picture quality is really good.

Nice shooting, Gerry. You play really well, and have a beautiful table. I also meant to mention that your pup is a beauty. I love black masked GSDs. =)

Great shooting Gerry..... except for that one ten ball.:D:thumbup:

I had to dump a few shots right? :) The DCC is coming up.....where would all the action go? :D

The cam is from Radio Shack "IHome Mylife webcam pro" really only cost about $30. I am surprised at the quality for the cost.

My table is a GC4 copy from Boston Tables (China knockoff) but all the parts are identicle to a regular GC for only $2500! with the rails done and Simonis. Pockets are 4-3/8" I was trying to show the size when racking at one point. The guys that assembled it shimmed the pockets and said the whole table is 90% Brunswick with the aprons being cheaper.

thanx for the kind words everyone!

Good stuff, Gerry.

LEt me know when you want to play $ome...I'll take the last 4 and the breaks and we can play on your home table!:embarrassed2:

Thanks for posting it. Nice shooting and very clear picture.
Couple questions, do you have your computor close to do that ? I'm assuming it's all wireless, are they hard to set up ? How do you get into the vimeo to post the video's ? I need the basic version explanation, as you'll lose me quick.

It is a (digital) camera, it captures images on a memory card, then you put the card into a PC...if you want to.

And then, if you want to, you can send (upload) the video from your PC to the web on the vimeo.com website.

Can't get the video to play. Maybe its an issue with the servers here at my work. Do you have to join the site in order to watch?

I don't think I have a place for a card. If I go buy one of those cameras do they come with a card and can I get some kind of attachment or something that would make it able to post it ? Thanks

Gerry;

Excellent shooting! You move whitey around real nice.

Thanks for sharing your video. I have had a new cam sitting on a tripod in my recroom for a few months now and I really need to get it up and running. You may have sparked my interest to finally git-r-done.

One question on your breaks. You seem to be generating very good power and accuracy with an open bridge. Do you think you could generate even more power with a closed bridge break?

Best,
Brian kc

I think that is a bit too specific, as I am not familiar with the product itself, just its use in general. I seen the wife using that thing on the kids!:embarrassed2::grin-square:

I am sure there is a cord that could go between camera an PC though.
