Absolutely no shame in losing to Ronnie Park. He's a former US Amateur Champion & plays jam up. Congratulations on cashing, Carlos. Hope to see you play next year.

i know ur probably disappointed but keep your head high mr carlos you did something most people wont even try.i really enjoyed cheering for u i just wish u would of went farther iam sure u feel the same way.

I hope you keep positive at this time, even though it may be hard. You did want many of us want to... play with the top dogs. If anything you've encouraged most of us noobies to want to try harder and get up there with you =]}

Good post!

And good effort and good play at the one of the best tournaments on the planet.

Carlos,

Great job you did in the Open. I know you had higher expectations of yourself, but a 3-2 record in one of the most prestigious tournaments in America is nothing to feel bad about. I envy you. You played with grit and determination. You should be proud!!!

Good luck in your future endeavors!!!

You got ball man!!! I was right there with you.

Carlos, I missed this thread last year, but I've been following your progress this year, and I'm very impressed! Good show, man!

You played some of the best players out there and ended up with a positive record....that's more than many of us can ever say...you do indeed have ball. ;)

Well this year I will actually play in some tournaments and compete. Not just concentrate on getting back in stroke somewhat......i need to get used to the competition again and the pressure that comes along with tournaments like this so i will be able to perform to my potential :smile: that was the toughest part really trying to perform on command with pressure, sometimes my instincts would kick in and I would just flow....other times I would get distracted by anything and couldn't focus on the task at hand. Other than the good the bad and the ugly I really enjoyed myself and got to do something that I had wanted to do 12 years ago when I could actually play...lol. Also it's great to know that so many people were pulling for me and following my progress. I hope to get to meet y'all in the future and be able to show out a lil and play like a beast...lol

Carlos,

I enjoyed following your progress throughout the US Open. It's nice to see someone follow up on their goals. Anyway, it seems like you shot really well in a tough tournament, although I'm sure there are a few shots you would like to have back. You followed through with what you set out to do, and that is commendable. Congrats, bud.

Jeff
