It must b my bedtime I was talking bout the best jump cue in my opinion completely missed the shaft part LOL ,i could tell u where not 2 send it

LOL I'm sure I can think of a few guys not to send it to as well.

My Jensen j/b matches my player. I am only looking for opinions on the best j/b shaft.

That may be a tough one to answer.....I just started using a Terry Mcfadden Jump/Break cue and the shaft is perfect for both...It is the first jump/break shaft that feels good for both the break stroke and jumps well...It feels great on the normal break stroke and even I can jump anything with it...(and that is saying a lot since I jump like crap)

However...He has some specific materials and joint sizes when he makes the cue.........I am not sure how (just the shaft) would translate to another butt with a different joint size...

Lomax is in his own league right now. The guy simply understands what makes the cueball jump.

If you have not tried a Dymondwood shaft....i would suggest that also....they are about as stiff as they come
I tried one out and I am making me one for a jump cue I made

I have to say bunjee because I have had a bunjee break/jump cue and the shaft they use makes it super easy to jump the ball without question.

I use a Samsara made X-Breaker JB (it's a massive shaft - will not give up). I have a Lomax jump cue & it jumps like a dream.
The Lomax shaft on my jumper looks like it should make a good breaker - don't know if he uses exactly the same taper on JB shafts or not. I will tell you that I'm not a phenolic fan. I use Samsara JB tips on my XB & my Lomax jump. Don't lose a thing vs phenolic. I personally think the Samsara JB tip has made phenolic tips completely, inarguably, unnecessary.
