Hey there straight pool fans

Unfortunately it wasn't me who did the run cause I never play with a camera on:wink: but my good friend Sebastian Staab who also played in the Straight Pool WC some years ago captured his new high run on video last week...
He started playing a bit reckless but got more and more serious during the run...

Enjoy the video guys...

That's awesome. I cant wait to watch it in the next few days.

Now all you have to do is recruit him to the 14.1 forum here on az.

Thanks for sharing !

Great confident playing. How old is Sebastian? He looks very young. Looks like a nice Gold Crown that he is playing on. If I might ask, what is the pocket width on that table?

I'll watch the entire video later, but I like his pace and confidence at the table. His patterns could probably be improved on, but there is no argueing the effectivness of his play.

Great Run!

That was strong Gentleman!! His pace at the table is really good. He takes care of trouble spots very well. He thinks fast and doesn't waste any time executing his patterns. He stays down very well when shooting and his demeanor never changes when he gets past 100. He just stays solid and confident. His cueball is also very good. Great run and great player!!!! The pockets weren't as big as some of the other runs I've seen on here. I am guessing 41/2, 43/4 at the most. Being his highest run it's really impressive how confident he remained to the very end. This was an awesome display of straight pool. Thanks for sharing this amazing feat:-)....

Rep to you Sir! Thanks for sharing. What kind of camera setup did you use? The picture is excellent.

Thanks for posting the link. I'm downloading it now...I can't wait to see his big run.

EDIT: My first thought is...wow, he IS really young! Product of the league system I take it?!?

hes got all the shots and moves the cue very confident...great post, look forward to more from this guy

Send this kid to Rempe and he may become the next Ralf lol...seriously, he pockets balls REAL well, if he plays a higher percentage game and learns the little details of the game, he looks like he could beat anyone.

Did I mention how well he pockets balls? Even in the first couple of racks he takes two seconds on 10 different shots I rattle all the time.

thats awesome, cant wait to watch it today...by the way, he is around 25 maybe younger...

Strong shooting,

first 2 racks were *hard*- then it went much better. What league is Sebastian playin atm and for which team?

lg and a smooth stroke,

ingo

He looks great, a few mistakes, such as when he almost scratched in the side in the third or fourth rack. He knew it, though.
For some reason, the video stopped on me at 11:45 and I could not get it to start again.
Very nice viewing setup! I'll try it again later.

that's a heck of a run there. i like his style it's real quick and aggressive.

thanks for posting this

something wrong with the video ? picture stops at 35 min every time, same when i download the run... ? anyway, it is a heck of a run no doubt and he sure is a great player but i don´t like his patterns too much, he often shoots shots to break open the rack again with no insurance balls, like do or die...i think he needs to work on his patterns a bit, shooting is very good but that is not the only thing that leads to big runs. just my thoughts.

It stopped at 35:12 for me too. Tried to reload and refresh, but no luck.

When it stopped for me I tried everything I could think of. Stopped once before that but I just kept hitting the play key and eventually it started again.
The second time, at 11:35, it would not start again.

I have had problems with Vimeo also. I did enjoy this video, really liked the
young guns workman-like attitude. There is lots to be said for being positive - confident in one's abillities. Thanks for agood post.

i watched the video and it locked up on me as well.

The Kid shoots real strong....Damn Germans !!!

195 @ 25, i wonder what his future holds, and what players he worked under. Maybe Oliver ????

I don't think he will join the forum because his english is not so good...but i will talk to him about it every now and then...feel free to ask whatever you want :)

that's OK because 14.1 is mostly, center ball, follow and draw. :grin-square:

5 more balls and he'd have made Lipsky's 200 ball runner list. but if he can run 195 on video, he surely has run over 200 already.
