I just picked up a rare version of an R14 Schon. I had an S-14 that was red but green is my favorite color, so I'm super jazzed about this one.

I promise to take good care of your baby. I'm gonna add some weight to her butt though. Wow. That sounded weird.

Nice!

Very nice cue. Especially the green veneer ring on the shafts, never seen that before. Do we know if that, along with the onyx dots, was a special order original from Schon?

The dots were special ordered for sure. The shaft rings I'm not certain about. I know one shaft is from 82 and the other two were ordered from Schon in 87.

It's hard letting go of cues like this. I let go about 3 cues in the past that I'm kicking myself about.

Thanks Skins for PMing me some great info about the cue. I appreciate it.

yes the cue was ordered with the dots, i liked the tips of points topped off with dots back then and still do... as for the green rings, i wanted green tied throughout the cue and this is what i received.....i've never seen another like it either....the other two shafts were made for me by them in 1987-88 if my memory serves me correctly....they had already retooled the shop for producing nickle rings but agreed to make two more shafts for me for a slight upcharge....the cue was also made just slightly thinner than their standard cues....great decision cause it really played jam-up......
