1st attempt at a 8pt. FullSplice Butterfly

Very impressive. Your work is jumping leaps and bounds.

I really hope to see this cue at this weekend's show.

Best,
JimmyK

About time something came out of the new shop! I was beginning to think you moved to Sherman for the pizza, warm weather and to take advantage of the local pool tournament. Congratulation on your finish, Sat. Cue looks good. Congratulations to the new owner!

Great work

Fantastic Jon! Now the weather has cooled off a bit you can stay in the shop more and be creative but you have to hurry because winter is coming.

Thanks to all for the nice feedback. I love what I do, and having a great response like this makes it all worth it. Thank you!

Saw this one in person just a little while ago. You hear it all the time but these pictures don't even come close to doing it justice. Really fantastic design and execution. Hard to believe this was your first attempt at this style butterfly. Nice work Jon.

Wow...very nice. What would you get for something like that? PM if you like

Thanks

i saw this at the pizza place, everyone sees what i saw, beautiful design, choice woods
and a beauty to look at

what no one so far has mentioned is the full splice part

i don't know exactly how he did it,but if i am correct in my understanding,
this is the first full splice butterfly point cue ever

not like the 360 full splice with butterfly later but full splice

what a rare cue,if you don't decide to keep it,i bet that more than one of us on here would like to own this beauty and piece of cuemaking history

john pointed to areas that he plans to improve on technically, but for the life of me,
i don't see how this could be any better

jake better expect competition on the cue of the year this year

i hope to see the 4 texas amigos at the top of the heap this year

dean

Thanks again to all! I'm going to be making 4 or 5 of these cues all in a Ebony with choice Woods/Veneers to compliment each other. A few of these are already spoken for. If you want one let me know soon. Thanks, -Jon

You are incorrect.

Here is one Paul Fanelli's later cues, one of the "simpler" ones in fact:

That is a great looking design Jon. Wish I could see it in person.

Have a great time at the show!
