In the interest of complete disclosure:
Jayson 7 Dennis 5
Atlanta Falcons 24 Green Bay Packers 0 at halftime
The biggest shocker, though, is that Chris Melling has won his first seven matches in the bank pool event. It's his first Derby, and it's unlikely he has ever played bank pool before. I recall watching the Ko brothers trying to figure the game out a year ago at the Derby with limited success.
OH man I love that guy-hope they can get him on a stream sometime.
PS-Gorst undefeated thru 7 also

... Is this the same event as the fatboy challenge which Efren won a few years ago?
I think this is startling...how does a British snooker player come over here and win 7 bank
matches?.....although he was very inventive when he was playing more pool before.
...I used to call Corey Deuel the American Reyes...and Chris Mellng the British Reyes.
but nevertheless...if Melling won the DCC Banks....
...it would look like a National Enquirer headline....you know, like...
.."1950s Airplane Lands...WITH SKELETONS ABOARD!!!!!!!!!!"
Right on!
Banks Round 8 now drawn. Undefeated Fedor Grost has drawn defending champion John Brumback. Undefeated Chris Melling has drawn John "Hennessee" Pinegar, a very accomplished bank pool player.
Let's see how it goes.
sjm,
Orcollo drew a bye in Round 8?

Yes, Dennis lost to Jason Brown in round 7 but, after buying back in, drew the bye in round 8, so he's on to round 9 carrying a loss.
Kazakis 6 Hohmann 4
New England 17 Pittsburgh 9
Brumback over Gorst in bank pool, giving Fedor his first loss. Melling and Pinegar still in progress.
I've heard Brumback is decent at banks.
