2017 World Snooker (Free Facebook Live Broadcast)

Seems like John Higgins has been around forever. Hooray for the old guy!!!

How old is Higgins? Hint: he's younger than I am, by a lot. My lord.

Freddie <~~~ hooray for the young guy'

Selby cuts it to 10-7 to end the session. Jimmy White said, "It looks like someone had lost his dog and someone had found his dog."

More so with all the missed shots that were pretty easy in

Hitting too hard and taking your eye off the prize for that second
Shooting too quickly

3rd frame second sesh
I swear i saw tje green nudge a hair on first look
Where mark fouled

No second replay showed he didn't

After watching Selby battle Ding this match seems anti-climatic somehow. I never liked Higgins since his dumping scandal anyway.

Higgins Cannon into a plant.

Higgins Cannon into a plant.

Or as I would say; Billiard into a combination.

When he was eyeing up the shot, I thought 'he is looking at the billiard'. Sure enough he hit it perfect.........but the commentator exclaimed, 'he misscued, he hit the wrong ball!'.He was then adamant that the shot and nice shape were a fluke.

I wanted to ask the opinion here. So found it on youtube. Jumped to the shot...........the commentary has been changed!!!!!!!!!!

Higgins not so fluked billiard combo.

He totally turned the cue ball loose there. Not very impressive.

Uh no he could not have gotten on that black
So what luck is in every game

I could get on the black from there and I don't play snooker.
I'd like the next five people who read this thread to look at this shot and tell me if you think it would be hard to get on the black. What I see is that you can slow roll the combo and bump the other red below the black. Now you're straight in on the black. Higgins made that dead ball shot harder than it was. He didn't have to hit the other red first and carom into the combo. Once again I'm not impressed.

Well I am not sure who the commentators are but I think they are both world champions. So I can understand you thinking that because live that is what the first one said in not so many words. Now he has softened his position. Perhaps with the input from the other world champions that were available for review. I would liken it to a supreme court ruling that was split but the planned shot and shape prevailed as the majority position.

Watch it from the very start and notice him checking the billiard. It gave him the option to play the cue ball the way he did.

I've watched that combination (plant) a few times and still can barely see what's going on or how he saw that!

And he didn't let the cue ball fly at all, he sent it vertically up and down the table and had about a three-foot position zone for any of the colors at the head of the table.

Did he intentionally play the carom-combo instead of the combo only, so the CB would strike the head ball of the combo from the opposite direction, and throw the combo slightly? Maybe that is why (if) he played it the way he did. They have it on replay 2 or 3 times in the minute after the shot.
