2018 US Open One Pocket Championship

I gave my email when i signed up. That's it. Have had an acct. for a couple years and no problems. I've never given out ph. or cc info on FB. That would be nuts.

Exactly. And you can use a secondary internet email account where you filter out the crap from net. Sort of like one used for this account. When Facebook or any site pops up crap like, oh enter your cell number so we can send you alerts or have it as recovery contact for locked account, simply don't give it. When they show on your screen, oh share your contact list, simply x out. Not very difficult.

Congrats Shane...

Congrats to Shane, proving once again why he's arguably the best in the world.

Wins the US open one hole right after winning US open banks...

Congratulations to Shane, double dipping Banks and 1P. He is one of the best players in the world for sure.

I feel the U.S. Open was somewhat tainted. The cream of the crop was in Louisiana. Hopefully CSI can get all the best players in Vegas for the foreseeable future with a consistent schedule and venue.

Yes .. Congrats to SVB!!!

but........that field was pretty weak, he was a 20-1 favorite to win it.

The person who purchased Shane in the auction barely got their money back. If he finished anywhere other than first or second, they lost. Talk about a prohibitive favorite. Think One was closer to the correct number 1 - 20.

Griffs (in Las Vegas) held the 2018 US OPEN ONE POCKET and the US OPEN BANKS Championships.

The event went real good. We introduced both games to hundreds of new players from the free stream. We topped 3,100 viewers at one time.

We want to thank all of those that helped; from the players to our staff and to the many viewers.

We will be having these events every year - plus the US OPEN 8-BALL and the US OPEN 10 BALL, and the US OPEN 14.1 STRAIGHT POOL championships: all in Las Vegas. The dates will be announced in the next month or two. In addition, the US OPEN 9-BALL will also be moving to Las Vegas, so our pool scene should be hoppin'.

Unfortunately, we conflicted dates with the Scotty Townsend event in Louisiana. I have talked to the coordinators down there and it was an oversite on their part and strictly unintentional. We will work together to avoid that in future years. Next year we will have $5,000 added to both events regardless of how many players attend! The entry fees will remain close to where they were this year ($240 and $350)--we aren't interested in $1,000 entry fee events. We want to grow the events and encourage regional players to participate. We will also have a calcutta but they will not be the focus of the tournaments.

To the naysayers, we had a blaast. We encourage players to watch for our announcements for future dates.

Thank You and good shooting!!!!

Thanks for having such a great event. Those of us who attended all had a good time. You might have a future in the commentary booth if you can just get rid of that pesky Helfert guy!

It was a great set of events you had going! Thanks for the free stream as well! Congratulations to Shane for his first place wins in both events as well!
Hope the events grow in numbers as well in the upcoming years!
:)

Thanks Mark Griffin for hosting a wonderful One Pocket event. I really enjoyed your pool room...Griff's...it is a 1st class operation and the food and service was outstanding. I'll certainly be back for future events.

Mark,
1. Thank you again for a great event.
2. We all had a ton/tonne of fun.
3. As I mentioned in the booth. Forget the naysayers. You write the checks. The rest of us have opinions.

Just to review kids...Mr G puts in good money after bad. We should all be lining up to provide him with his next needed organ for what he does for our sport. Stop the crying. Get involved. Make it better.

2018 is open one pocket

Next year both the banks and one pocket will be $5,000 added no matter how small the field. Jay helfert volunteered to add $2,500 to the banks in 2019! Way to go Jay😱👍

Sorry Mark, I'm only going to add it once, but nice try anyway!
