2024 World Pool Championship

soufi vs JL chang

probably the biggest contrast in styles there is
Soufi only appears to play super fast because he probably has the quickest trigger once he gets down on the shot (Ignacio being a close second). Otherwise, he's fairly deliberate when he needs to be. Great player though.

For some reason, Chang Yu Lung has to be the most boring world-beater on the planet for me. He exudes zero personality. And the way he shoots it looks like an engineer who picked up the game only 2 years ago...lol. Still he can beat anyone in the world on any given day.

Well they both certainly have plenty of quit in them. Chokers Championship right there.
Chokers Stone Classic World Cuckold Derby Open Quitters Championship.

Presented by Matchroom in 2027 after the Thorpe Cup.

Out of curiosity, who do you all think is the absolute slowest 750+ fargo player? I know many that are pretty slow, but hard to think of someone specific that is slower than the rest. Kaci? Hennessy?

I have to laugh at all the incredulity over Lombardo. The guy won his first round match over a good foe to make his path easier. He did what he had to do.

Woodward didn’t do what he had to do. Styer didn't. Wolford didn’t.

Lombardo will probably lose his next match, but credit to him. He knows the game inside out and keeps plugging away.

Interesting to see the UK semi finalists perform. Fortunski and Makkonen played poorly and are gone. Caputo and Labutis, who appear to be on the rise, both were strong. They advance. Not surprised in the least by how these four did.

Kledio Kaci really looked good, as did his big brother. SVB, FSR, Filler, the younger Ko, Shaw, Teutscher, Wiktor Z and … Kuo Po Cheng were other big standouts.

Gorst struggled mightily but fought hard to get into single elimination. He showed grit.

I was surprised by Biado and Ouschan flaming out rather badly. Woodward played well in spots, but too many misses vs sharper opponents. Styer made critical errors at key moments. Disappointing.

Very competitive tournament so far. I like it better than the UK Open.
