22 out of 23

I’m pretty sure there’s a video of Efren running 8 in a row in a tournament on YouTube. Also Kaci ran the set out against Alex and won 8-0. Most pros probably have the capability of doing it if the stars aligned and the break is working and the balls are rolling out good off the break.

That happened (Efren's eight rack run) in the 1999 WPC semifinals against Bustamante. I have that video on my website.

I cant imagine anyone better on a bar box than Matlock.

Close to perfection on BB, his game was not as strong on 9 foot.

Ken

There is that video of him playing on a barbox vs Johnny Archer with Steve Mizerak sweating/talking. I had thought his high run was mentioned in it but apparently not. Too bad the video is less than 5 minutes. I couldn't find much on youtube of Matlock but what a beautiful smooth stroke he has.

Is running 22 out of 23 racks possible? Run a pack then miss one...opponent misses and player A runs out the rest. Heard a story once about it happening on a bar table.

Seems like I remember Paul Turners name mentioned with that number, from Atlanta area I think.

old car in my salvage yard ...

Jeezus, that brought back some old memories.

Paradise By the Dashboard Light.

Had an old car in my salvage yard, had the little flaps on a screw to swing over the buttons to keep the inside lights off. Had to laugh, Oh yeah, remember exactly what those were about!

Last year at the 8 ball Classic in Duluth MN, Omar Al Shaheen ran 10 in a row against SVB in the first round. SVB did come through and win the tournament. And earlier this year, in one of the Isolation Tournaments on Facebook, Tim Tonjum of MN ran 25 racks playing 8ball against the ghost, ball in hand after the break.

Lassiter ran 19 racks of 9-Ball in a money match with multiple witnesses. Howard Barrett was there and told me about it. This was on a big table, not sure if it was oversized 8' or 9'. I don't think I even asked Howard that question.

I watched Jimmy Reid run ten racks of Eight Ball on a bar box, the most I ever saw. We won 200 for that display. But that was MONEY back then!

Buddy, Keith and Matlock were the best I ever saw on the bar box, but somehow David impressed me the most. He had more power than anyone else.
There were twice as many bar table hustlers as big table guys. Peter Gunn, Bakersfield Bobby and Weldon Rogers were three of the best out West playing with the big ball.
