Agent Orange
These are some of the diseases that the Veterans Administration believes that are relative to Agent Orange:
Type 2 Diabetes (Also known as type II diabetes mellitus or adult-onset diabetes).
(ii) Hodgkin's disease.
(iii) Multiple myeloma.
(iv) Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
(v) Acute and Subacute peripheral neuropathy.
(vi) Porphyria cutanea tarda.
(vii) Prostate cancer.
(viii) Respiratory cancers (cancer of the lung, bronchus, larynx, or trachea).
(ix) Soft-tissue sarcoma (as defined in § 3.309(e)).
If you know any veteran, especially a Vietnam veteran/Vietnam era veteran (because of the heavy usage of the herbicide Agent Orange) who has any one of the above diseases, they ARE eligible for compensation from the Veterans Administration.
The VFW and other organizations are reported to help veterans to apply for this compensation.
Agent Orange was used to kill vegetation. Agent Orange was used on EVERY military base in Vietnam to clear the land of any foliage. Other veterans of that era may be eligible for compensation for various reasons.
I'm no expert on Agent Orange but when I hear a veteran talk about their illnesses, I always ask if they served in Vietnam or in that era because MANY, still today, do not know that they are eligible for compensation because of being exposed to Agent Orange.
