JRoss - I have to agree with 2wld here, he offered services that you were looking for and instead of politely declining, you called him out....If you stand by your claim that he is "more clueless at pool that I am" then you should go show him and win some jellies in the process.

Just because he charges more than you want to pay and more than you think a service is worth, doesn't mean he should be called out and have this aired in public.

I asked you of your credentials etc. THEN you see that I mention chan's name in my post and you just so happen to reply to me saying your name and chan will be doing the instruction' . Your story is pretty wild, If I am indeed wrong which is a possibility regardless of the slimness, as I said before I do apologize. I saw it as a scam so I did what I felt right and posted it. Perhaps I was wrong to do so, perhaps not. Also If I'm not mistaken I've been told Chans rates are a bit lower than that, is that not so? I also wouldnt mind playing you either, win or lose. Where do you live?

Actualluy I agree with s2m that your PM was not so inappropriate to deserve public scrutiny, especially given that PMs function to allow privacy.

I merely commented on the article you wrote. That is open to discussion / criticism as anyone's posts here are. Still, it does seem a little like persecution with hindsight.

You had the enthusiam / courage to wirte an article and had some good writing and areas that people would question. Much like what most people write in their posts here on this board.

Maybe you ought to consider your advertising copy and means of gaining credibility before going off half cocked and threatening law suits.

For the lessons, I have heard nothing but good things about Blackjack. I may be wrong but I believe Blackjack was a real good player, as well as a teacher. Can not go wrong with him. Also If Grady is in your area he gives good lessons as well. He likes to set up lessons along his trips when he is traveling check him out.

We all need to look out for each other.I dont agree about saying a cue is too high in price if you have no intention of buying that cue.You should keep out of business trasnsactions like that.A cue worth $500 to you might be worth $1000 to someone else.

Dragging Chan into this is wrong, and is the reason I refered to I in the first place, you know some people act just as you did, you could have easily called Chan and ask him, instead you wrongfully accused me and I dont take it lightly either...

In the AZB private message feature, Mike has given us a valuable tool for communicating with a single froum member when we feel it is appropriate. Anybody who publishes the contents of a private message to the public forum greatly devalues the private message feature of the forum. I hope all posters recognize that the contents of private messages is private, and that we show disrespect for each other when we violate that privacy.

The only time the contents of a private message should be shared with the forum is with the consent of the sender/recipient.

Do you even understand what a con is? It is fraud disguised as the truth that extracts values from unsuspecting others. He laid out everything for you in plain English (the good and the bad) and simply because you didn't like his terms, you dishonestly call him a con! I suppose he could be a con, but his dealings with you so far do not support such a label.

If you don't like a deal, in a free society, you can just say, "no." You don't have to make-up pretend crimes and then break an implied contract to a PERSONAL message by spewing those falsehoods onto this public forum. In fact, what YOU did leads me to believe that YOU are the conman, not he.

You may not "care either way," but others surely do.

There are two Bruswick Gold Crown Tables, 4 1/2 by 9 and 4 4x8's kinda shotty tables and cloth, whitch ever you prefere.. the game will be 7 ball you will have 1 saftey per rack, so you can miss once per rack... otherwise if you miss its ball in hand..

Hell Jimmy, I know where you can get played and you don't even have to leave the great state of Arizona. You ever been to Kingman? Well, lemme tell ya lil 'bout Kingman. What we have here in Kingman is 4 bar-boxes, the worst you'll ever see, and 1, yes, that's right, 1, 9' Olhausen. We can bet as high as YOU want but I'm only posting for 1 game. I usually like to play for as much as 1 dollar a game but since you'd have to spend all that money on gas and hotel expenses, I'll make an exception. $2 a game! go with someone like BlackJack ...someone like that not only can teach you a better game but also has interesting stories of his life and the game....or go with a well known school ..there are several out there....the money you pay for lessons from a good instructor is well worth it..i personally have had lessons from Bert Kinister..which have really helped my game...it's also nice that you can expose to to the rest of the forum a potential ripoff..good luck in your game.....
