No.. you missed the main point. Had Sean NOT said anything about your cue price being crazy high, you would not have never mentioned this "tragedy" of business that you feel cueaddicts undertook. Knowing that is all we need to know about YOU. For someone who felt that cueaddicts was SO crooked that it was a "deal that would live in infamy", you didn't say ANYTHING until you felt slighted, that my friend, is called a shithead. That is the point I was making.

Well Tippy, I am glad you enjoyed it. I should know better than to debate with people who lack moral fiber or ones that solely argue for purposes that are false. People with false self-righteousness that have nothing to lose or gain, people who are so dishonorable they only want “all the facts” to come forth only when they feel slighted, yet want to sound like they are delivering the world from tragedy. So maybe I need to revise my resolutions for the New Year to include such an item. With this I bid the thread a farewell, and to all those who are still reading.. your game just went down a ball, look at all the practice time you missed. :)

Cueaddicts got really smart and quit the game - so he broke even except for a small ante.

I really didn't want it to get this far but there comes a point when you have to fish or cut bait. I chose to fish as a result of what was being said here. In the end, most reasonable people here will see this thread for what it really was. If not, oh well, I can live with it.

I couldn't help but think of the quote by Eric Hoffer:

"Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength."

As for giving you the seven, my username is from days gone by, I barely play any more. And based on all of the strong players who hang out here I may be the one who needs the seven. However, I may be willing to try you out sometime, even that is. ;)

I know this cue was on Ebay once before. It has also been priced right at $4000 in the past and moved. Hercek cues have quickly and steadily gone up in price and in my opinion should plateau in the coming year.

Also, if these cues don't sell through Ebay they'll be heading up with me to the Expo in March to get dealt away.

But, in the end the market will bear what it will bear. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I was just reading this post (all 7 pages) whew... and thought I might be able to shed some light on this cue. It is a beauty and I think it was made for a German buyer a few years back http://www.proficientbilliards.com/cues/Hercek/joelhercekscrimshaw.htm . We had the chance to buy this cue 2 years ago for $1800 + our finish work, but backed out on the deal regretfully because only one shaft was there at the time of the sale. I honestly thought that the cue would sell in the $2500 range, but that was a couple of years ago. Maybe this discussion was settled a long time before I posted, but selling the cue and getting your price would certainly end all doubts.

I hate to post, especially in a topic of complaints... but this cue is one of my favorite Herceks and one of the only ones that I can remember with the scrimshaw collars. Also I had some never before seen pictures of it that might interest some. I kinda wish the cue was laying here on the desk like it was before... it would be the quickest 18 cnotes I could give away. :cool:
