I think John Showman would be right up there... After seeing his tribute cues, I think he could do something very fitting for the occasion.

Richard Black should also be on the list...

$3000 huh?

Off the top of my head, it'd be one of the following:

1.) Szamboti
2.) Ginacue
3.) Searing
4.) Lambros
5.) Black Boar

(Note: I'm basing this on what I'd want to play with and collectability.)

Damn! Forgot about Barrenbrugge! Some of the prettiest stuff on the planet and I hear it plays really nice too.

yes I will buy one direct from the maker at my cost and chalking for a cure will raffle it and offer tickets up on az and other forums.and they will draw at the fund raiser dinner, Iam thinking about mcworter/gina/gilbert/or richard black

One other idea you could do is contact the American Cuemakers Association and see about buying a $3,000 certificate to use with any of their members to build a cue for the winner of the raffle. They had a similar raffle at the SBE.

Good idea with the Gift Certificate. Maybe even have each cuemaker submit an example of work in that price range. Would be neat to see what they all pick anyway.
