...2-3 years back many of you here on azb complained that european players on MC team are emotionless robots and that you prefer to watch players with "heart". Well now you get Shaw and Filler who have plenty of emotions to show yet you complain again because according to you they act unsportman-like and not gentleman-like. I feel little bit confused..what is it that you want in euro players again? And when USA players (this year it was Hatch, formerly Dechaine, Earl..) act like that it is perfectly ok with you. Really confused about this... :frown:

Agree. Filler has behaved like an cocky axx in previous tourneys like US Open , China Open so it is not as if people are only knocking him for his behaviour in MC.
Having said that, would be great if you have video showing "screaming and jumping around like he does a porn scene."

Well, EU does keep whipping us. We don't have much to celebrate, ya know?

I think they should open the Cup up to other possible teams. Perhaps losing 2 or 3x in a row should result in the losing team being replaced.

Or just open the whole thing up to the world and have a double elimination or something , which I think would be a great idea as well.

I support team USA without a doubt, but I would rather see competitive matches more than anything.

I think the World Cup of pool- 2 man format- has that going on and that it would be too cumbersome with larger teams. It would be nice to see the World Cup go with each team plays singles matches against the other trpeam, with a doubles set as a tie breaker, when necessary.

How would the incoming mosconi team be selected though? Public vote? Qualifiying points events for almost anything pool related been a pretty big failure, to date.

They had World Pool Team Championships before. Held every 2 years and ran for 3 editions ending few years ago. 20+ countries took part. They played singles, doubles . About 5 players per team. Winning team gets around $80K
UK,Taiwan and China each won the title once.
