5-pack

Congratulations Tanner. do you have enough space in your basement for a 9 footer or atleast an 8? how do you feel playing on those tables?
It will probably be a tight squeeze with the side walls. Plus the only way to get a new table in is to knock out the two windows by the computer. I will need the wild 5,6,7,8,9 from everyone on the 9ft. :o

I know you are tounge-in-cheeking us w/ the 'wild 5,6,7,8,9 from everyone on the 9ft', but really, you will be like the hose that is let out of its pen. Finally able to stretch legs...you will be just fine after about 2 days!

Edit- not hose...horse!

Does everyone count an early combo on the 9ball when referring to stringing racks? I just ran the first rack, combo'd the 9ball in the second rack, and then I ran 3 more racks. Does that constitute a 5-pack? I will upload the video in a short while.

5 pack, nice job!

I know tons of people who are phenominal bar box shooters that cant do anything on a 9 footer. but I also know phenominal bar box shooters that are pretty good on a 9 footer...but definetly not as good as on a bar box.. I think it depends on the individual.. if i remember correctly..I think Johnny Archer...or was it Buddy Hall??? started out on a bar box. Still...very good shooting tanner :)

I don't think that you need those spots on the 9-footers. you'll be ok as long as you reach the middle part of the table. If my 12 year old niece could it, so can you ! how bout practicin' on those carom shots. I saw your vid, on the first rack where you bank the 5, I think. I think the 9 was near the pocket and makeable if you decided to carom it. anyways, nice run-out Tanner ! ;)

Wow I never counted an early combo as part of the pack. That would then give me the 6 pack I have been trying for. Ran a 2 pack then early combo the 9 another 2 pack with 1 more early combo on the 9 with out missing. I only counted it as a 4 pack. Is this correct to call it a 6 pack

If you were playing someone for a $100 or 2 a game, HE would call it a 6 pack.

It was APA league play in a city tourney for Vegas. The match score was 48 to 0 before they got to the table. Final score was 75 to 6 my first ever 20-0 skunk

This is interesting because I think it was at the core of that earl strickland controversy, where there was an insurance policy that said if anyone would run 10 racks in a row, they'd get paid a million bucks... but they didn't want to count it because of either an early 9 combo or some 9s being on the break. Earl fought with them and there eventually was a settlement iirc.

it just seems that they won't like to pay up and make further stipulations. it's pretty common in business, especially when it concerns promotional goods. it's like they say if you're able to get the winning number, you'll win the price. then if you got the number, they'll say "wait a minute", now you need to play a game inorder to get the price. the winning number just qualified you to play the game. wtf??? and this goes on and on.

as long as they don't make any stipulations, an easy or early combo or a 9 on the break should be included or considered as part of the pack. unless it is specified that all balls must be pocketed consecutively or a complete run-out. it is quite a dilemma however if the 8 and 9 are near each other and the only way of winning the game is a combo. now to simply what defines a pack in pocket billiards, it is "a bundle of matches won consecutively". not the number of balls. ;)
