Yes I know its pretty plain, but who cares. Its an original 6 point Burton Spain. Joel made me a new shaft for it. It came out perfect.

Very nice. I do not think that is too plain at all. In fact any more may detract from its beauty.

I got the chance to play with a buton spain cue many years ago. I did not have a true appreciation of it at that time, but I still thought it played great even then.

Awesome cue. I love the points, and how they overlap.

Perfection achieved through simplicity. A complex simplicity, I might add.

hey

Its another little piece of history....I did get to meet Burton one time. It was at the Houston Cue show, I think it was 1993. Talked to Burton for about 15 minutes, it was a great time

Nice piece of cuemaking history Tikkler. I have a friend who bought a cue in 1980 from a guy who made cues in his basement here in Chicago. It is a plain jane birdseye with green, yellow and white rings. At the same time, I purchased my McDermot C-3. Had I known that the guy would become one of the most respected cuemakers of the time, I would have got one too. Of course, it was Burton Spain. My friend was actually in his basement to pick up the cue. It has the same joint as your cue, except for different colored rings. I think he paid $50 for it barely used. Today it is probably worth $1000.

That is a show-off.

A show-off from Burton Spain himself! :) Showing his incredible talents and knowledge regarding building forearms (and cues as well!!!).

To me, this is the most valuable piece of your collection.

nice

the first one i see from you without ebony and ivory.

you like black and white cue very well !it is true ?

You are probably right paulybatz that's probably what it would take to pry it from his hands, as he would never sell it (I tried).

Hey pooh if you take a look at tikkler's (don't mean to steal his thunder) 11 cue post, you will see another nice Spain that he has.

Tikklier - I Love You Boss - That's Awesom!!

Tikkler - If you ever get around to having the Spain x-rayed , I'd really like to see ;)
don't mind the red box , i bid $400 for a titlist and pissed the guy off

Thank you for letting me know, I did see that Moon design cue he has! It looks stellar as well :) Those 'Moon' inlays flow round the butt sleeve.

I like the joint rings on this 6 pointer, as the white joint meets the same white on the shaft's collar.

Geez Steve, im playerless and that doesnt fit in youre collection ,very well ( wrong color woods) just send it over..............
What a serious piece of billiards history........
Simply beautiful sir as always...............

Christmas being a time when everything flashes and sings, all places are busy and full and you can't really look at anything without seeing at least one of the above...

I found this cue, on which I can give my eyes and mind a rest.

I thought I should give it a bump so others can see it again, maybe it's like an oasis these times.

P.S.: I like Christmas but it gets too much sometimes :)
