At Comet Billiards the Game Show jackpots were very very exciting

to say the least. Stevie Moore shooting for Wali broke and made a ball for

500. Now with no shot on the 1 he had to play a 9 foot jump shot cutting

the one past a 6 that was blocking part of the corner. He went 3 rails and

fell on the next ball perfectly, wow cannot explain it. The crowd went wild

and i could even hear the internet viewers goin crazy. There was more

work to do and he got it done ! 5000 total for that first jackpot.

In the 2nd 10-ball jackpot Shaun Wilkie was chosen to shoot for the

lucky ticket holder. Shaun pulls off a monster break making 4 balls.

At 200 a ball that was an 800 dollar break shot. He runs out the rest of

the rack to collect the 2000. It was fantastic for sure !

You can see it all on the archived Game Show at

Get your popcorn cause Stevie takes his time for 500 a ball !

Here is the link to the game show on Friday night:

The raffle process starts at about 1:20 into the video. Stevie's game starts at 1:30.

Does anyone know how the jackpot is accumulated? How much does it cost per ticket? Are there always lots of tickets sold to keep funding the 500/ball? Does the jackpot value change each week?

Lots of excitement that game. Does Stevie Moore always shoot this slow, or just because of the circumstances?

It was very cool to watch. It would be interesting if they had the 10 second countdown during the jackpot game.

That's cool. I didn't watch last night, figures something big would happen.

What an amazing rack, and an even more amazing opening shot!

But yes, he's unbearably slow. I realize that the first two shots were tough, but at 3 minutes per shot, it gets to be a bit much. If I took that long I'd psych myself out and would miss every shot.

Even still, congrats to Stevie for that fine performance.

Thanks for the link. Maybe Stevie thought he was making money by the minute not the ball........Can you imagine if this was a match and he was playing someone lke Earl.

Wow, that was dreadfully slow.. Still a great opening shot though..

I watched it on the live show and it was more bearable to watch not knowing if he would miss or not.

Later I asked in chat why they never showed any camera shots of the guy that was winning more money every shot as I thought it would make for good tv and someone joked, "Maybe they didn't have...time?"

haha thats pretty funny.

I don't mind the slow play. If you feel you've got a greater chance to get out by playing really slow then this is the perfect time to do it -- not very often you get a chance to run out one rack for $5k (even $2.5k), and it's not like you'll ever have another chance at the table if you miss.

Great shooting Stevie.
