I have a 9' table at home also. I was torn between the two and still am. I put 760 on mine. I only enjoy playing straight pool and my thought on it was that I don't have A/C in my basement and if it got a little humid in the summer the 760 would help.
I like the way the balls open on the 760, but I can control the cue ball much easier on the 860 at the pool room I visit on occasion.
Another consideration for me was that it is easier for me to go from fast to slow than from slow to fast cloth.
The next time I recover, I think I'll try the 860. The HR is treated with teflon I believe and that kind of scares me. ( no foundation for the worry)
I would like somthing like the 860HR which is supposed to be a tad faster than the standard 860 but I don't like the teflon idea.
I am curious about the Gorina cloth
http://www.poolndarts.com/87-Gorina-Cloth/ and wonder if their Basalt could be a little faster than 860 or the Tournament 2000 may be a bit slower than 760
Right in between would be just right. But as things go, I am leaning toward 860. That extra little rotation on the CB is annoying sometimes playing straight. I just can't make up my mind for sure yet.
