9-ball chat room

Why don't they just moderate their chats better? I see girls streaming League of Legend on twitch (yes I just admitted I sometimes watch gamers) that might have thousands of viewers at any time, and they get a volunteer mod to delete offensive posts if they wish. Do these pool streams have so few viewers that they can't find a mod or 2?
I thought pool celebrated sharking, trash talk, and gambling anyway...so why would you expect the chat to be different? BTW I just watch full screen so it isn't visible anyway.

^^^^,,the guy above me beat me to it.^^^^^^

There would be some value to chats with live streams if people were actually wanting to talk about what was going on in the match, shot selection, etc. But that isn't what happens. Usually people will either do what's being done here or they a. ask the same question 10000 times, b. Ask "oh do you know so and so cause I used to play him blah blah blah" c. Blather on about what a big gambler they are and pointless woofing, d. Complain about how everything sucks because they aren't playing so and so rules on such and such table or this or that. I watch streams to watch pool, and that experience is enhanced when I go full screen and don't even know the chat exists. Also don't get me started on commentators that talk to the chat. If I wanted to hear what basically equates to a one - sided phone conversation I'd youtube old Bob Newhart bits.

why cant they just have a few mods and ban anybody that gets out of line
any chat room will have this problem with internet trolls getting out of hand
when they know they can say anything and get away with it
they did just that and the chat has been good today well done KOZOOM

Chats are almost always a mish mash of trolls and normal people. I liken it to a party. Just pay attention to the conversations that interest you and don't sweat the rest. The kozoom chat moves really fast anyway. People get way too worked up.

That said kozoom could learn a lot about giving the ban hammer to several users and letting them moderate the chat.

It doesn't move as fast if you click on the chat that's just for the table your watching.

Yes it is much better today.
The admin/mods from kozoom were very helpful and were answering many questions.
Someone asked about viewership and admin said 2500.
Don't know if that is low or high number. Also they said the number should go up higher in the knockout rounds

Oh didn't know can look at chat by table lol. No wonder was looking at all chats in one screen and it was at light speed..

There's a long narrow box at the top of the chat to the right side it says something like:
"you are viewing all chats now" click on that box. Then it will say you are viewing T12 or t13 or what ever table.

Also, so many people respond at one time, that its near impossible to carry on any civil conversation, it just gets trampled unintentionally.

Watching people chat is boring! It's best to use Apple tv, and put the match on the big screen.

In my time watching live pool, it is rare to hear the pool expert talk about what the player is about to do, and why they're going to play the cue a certain way.

I'd prefer a similar format to MNF, where there is the announcer, with the coach/past player that can explain the game, and the "plays" the competitors are about to perform.

Listening to gibberish and comments to the chat room is not what viewers want.

See post #29, there is a chat for each table. If you click on your tables chat it scrolls a little slower.

It's a chat room. That's how chat rooms are. This is the internet, welcome.

Eliminating the chat would be a bad idea, many people enjoy interacting with others and the chat room adds to their "watching live pool experience". If you don't enjoy the chat then you can go full screen. I would be in favour of giving moderators the ability to ban spammers and also giving individuals the ability to block future posts from certain users. They may still be in the chat be you wouldn't see their comments.
