9' Gold Crown III with Mark Gregory rail work

Just got Mark Gregory to setup my nine foot Gold Crown III, This GC has the same playing specs of a Diamond Pro-am. Mark extended the subrails and installed artemis cushions with 4.5" pockets three years ago and I was able to relocate to table to Atlanta (I also bought 3 other identical tables that are now for sale :)). I can't give enough credit to Mark and his perfectionist attitude. He spent roughly 6 hours at my house leveling and covering the table. I watched the entire process and his work is without-a-doubt on another level... He spent 30 minutes leveling the first piece of slate which consisted of slightly bending the slate down on one side to account for a slight offset on the slate itself. Needless to say the table plays fantastically.

Specs:

Early Gold Crown III
9"x4.5"
Rosewood Rails
Italian Slate
Simonis 860 HR Tourney Blue
4 1/2" Pockets
Artemis Cushions

He does have mad skills.

Look at those levels, most mechanics would need to them ON the slate.

Ha Ha,,, it actually took me a minute to get this...

Very good.

If my small DC house would accommodate a table,, one of these would be mine.

My favorite table, worked on by one of the best. What a sweet combo.

Scott <<== very jealous

The tables from Premium Billiards. That were some of the nicest gold crowns I've ever worked on. The metal piece on the front of the ball box was a great idea. Sharp looking tables.

Next time you take the table apart, give me a call and I'll share my secret with you on how to get the castings to sit flat with the tops of the rails.

Interesting, aren't they supposed to be raised?

No, the only reason they get so high above the laminate is from having the mounting ears bent from over tightening the bolts, which also crushes the wood foot print, which adds to them sticking up above the formica as well.

Raised caps

I'd like to talk to you about that Glen, while JZ has my rails. Let me know if I can.

Sorry to high jack ur thread. Damn nice table!
